Golden Tempo was literally dead last in the final turn and then outkicked everyone to win the Kentucky Derby. What an insane finish.

In 1981, Johnny Carson paused the Oscars to update America after President Reagan was shot. The entire room gave a roaring applause. Today, late-night hosts joke about the president dying and Melania becoming a widow. Proof that we used to be better than this.

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

50 years ago today, we had perhaps the greatest on-field moment in history that didn’t involve any baseball action. Tom Rinaldi explains what happened in Dodger Stadium on April 25, 1976 with Rick Monday.

The flag that Rick Monday rescued 50 years ago today is headed to Cooperstown! OTD in 1976, Monday, a Cubs outfielder and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, grabbed an American flag from two protesters who had run onto the field at Dodger Stadium and attempted to burn it. Monday, the longtime Dodgers broadcaster who played 19 years in the Major Leagues, was a two-time All-Star and a World Series champion, has often been asked about the moment. “If that’s all you’re ever remembered for, that’s not a bad thing at all,” Monday told MLB Network in 2016. Monday still owns the flag and it will be on loan to the Baseball Hall of Fame this summer as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration. In addition, Monday will be honored on July 25 during induction weekend.

Most people don’t know how to properly retire a flag. So we taught the boys. How to fold it. How to handle it. How to retire it with respect. Because doing things the right way still matters.

🚨 WOW. Border Czar Tom Homan just gave the PERFECT response to Pope Leo "I'm a lifelong Catholic. I wish they'd STAY OUT of immigration, they don't know what they're talking about." "Because if they wore my shoes for 40 years, and talked to a 9-year-old girl that got r*ped multiple times, or stood in the back of a tractor trailer with 19 dead aliens at my feet, including a 5-year-old boy that baked to death, if they understood the atrocities that happened on the open border, I think their opinion would change!" "And I welcome discussion with any of them, because they don't understand illegal immigration is not a victimless crime." "Where President Trump had the most secure border in the lifetime of this nation, right now, lives are being saved. He's saving thousands of lives a year because he has a secure border!" "Human traffickers are out of business, right? The cartels are going bankrupt because of that secure border. I wish they'd understand that." "Because if they did, I think they'd have a different opinion." Mic drop.

Thankful to the Indianapolis man who thought we should have these tickets from the 1935 #IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals at the “New” Butler Field House”! This was actually the 8th year the finals were played in the facility and the last year that 16 teams made up the state finals field giving way to the “Final Four” in 1936.
