CTO & cofounder @sedaprotocol — bringing the internet onchain by building the internet-to-blockchain interface

What does it actually take to price the S&P 500 at 3am on a Sunday? On Open Interest, @AbishekFi talks with @sedaprotocol CTO @Jasperflux about the oracle infrastructure enabling 24/7 RWA and equity perp markets across leading DEXs.

@banteg @0xngmi how do you auth the root? you need a light client. Ethereum doesnt really support that, and optimistic rolluos support it with 7 day lag so you need a root oracle, which puts you back where you started, as i can forge any root so you use the sequencer or the altair committee?

Tplus is actually really good at this thanks to cross-margin plus matched-book-margin driven leverage 1. Long ETH on HL while cross-margined with tplus 2. Short ETH on Tplus - you're flat and all your capital is in HL Now lets consider how we source the ETH leverage 1/n

we should get layerzero, kelp, aave into a room to figure things out between them. so far things are not looking good, everyone has lawyered up and going full pvp on each other.

People in New York are definitely nicer than people in London.

Root cause: 1-of-1 DVN config. Kelp's rsETH OFT Adapter had requiredDVNCount = 1 for srcEid 30320 (Unichain). One DVN. No backup. No independent attestor. That DVN was a 2-of-3 multisig. Two of its signing keys + admin key used to call execute() are likely compromised. One forged packet. Vault unlocked. The hard lesson: A 1-of-1 DVN config isn't secured by LayerZero. It's secured by whoever holds the keys of that one DVN. The entire X-of-Y-of-N security model LayerZero is built around only works if you actually use more than one X. If your OApp holds real TVL, independent DVNs across your required set aren't optional, they're the whole point. I am so unfathomably bullish on crypto right now, it hurts.
