I think today was capitulation day in $BTC ETFs. Highest volume ever, feels fitting. Unlikely crypto won’t need a considerable period of sideways (or as others say “time-based capitulation”), but generally speaking, we should be done with the worst UNLESS equities now cave in.

@criticCitizen Btw I will say one thing: After not believing Putin would invade Ukraine despite troops amassing at the border, I was an idiot for not buying oil when Trump was moving carriers to the middle east for weeks. I won't make that mistake again when China moves troops next to Taiwan.

I capitulated into a Crude Oil long today. Not that much tbh and I didn't sell any of my risk-on longs, so it really is just a hedge. But there is a chance here IMO that markets are too complacent, now that every passing hour makes it more obvious Trump has no plan for the Strait

I hope & think these hedges will go to zero because the US secures the strait. I am just not convinced markets price that the Houthis need to fire exactly 1 missile at 1 ship at the gate of tears & shipping via Suez & on West coast of Saudi ceases. Oil would hit $200 in no time.

Well, I have to say that if you claim to have foreseen the war in September/October I won’t believe you :). And without it I think oil would continue to be stuck between 50 and 70. Plus, as you probably know, you cannot invest into oil as a hedge mid term due to rolling costs as usually futures are in contango and you lose money every month. Plus, I had energy exposure all the time - sadly it was Sable Offshore 😅😂

The other good thing is that US leadership is finely atuned to people losing money in financial markets, so the moment the pain becomes stronger, they will do anything they can for stuff to be back to normal. That is, in fact, my major hope aside from the US defeating Iran.

Only good thing about this: $SOC Executive Order is now a totally obvious response to a National Emergency. Have a hard time seeing how any judge would disagree, no matter how manufactured the crisis obviously is by the president. Gas prices at the pump don’t lie.
