Poder ver a la #Alondraricoti es todo un reto, muchas veces canta muy cerca pero no logras verla, la suerte me acompaño este fin de semana y mucho mas lejos de lo que creia estaba nuestra amiga

Whilst a very rare bird in the UK, the status of Montagu’s Harrier over much of its range, is classed as least concern. Great to see 2 pairs engaging in courtship display and sky dancing etc. near Los Montesinos on the #CostaBlanca#Spain#España #Birding#MontagusHarrier
Little Ringed Plover, La Finca Golf Course, Costa Blanca this morning. Many of the surrounding farmland reservoirs hold these waders at this time of year despite a lack of mud and vegetation. #CostaBlanca#España #Birding#Aves#Plovers#Spain#Waders#Shorebirds
La Finca Golf Course, Costa Blanca is a roost site for Cattle Egret. This morning a 3CY m Marsh Harrier flew over and, spooked, the Egrets/Ibis exited their safe haven in a flurry of activity. I normally see up to say 100 birds but a count revealed an impressive figure of 450!!
Water levels remain high at Laguna de La Mata, Costa Blanca after the Winter’s rain. Shoreline much nearer the main hide than usual, bringing the birds in closer including several Black-winged Stilt amongst several other species of wader. #CostaBlanca # Aves #Birding#España
Wow - I came across a flock of 69 Pin-tailed Sandgrouse at a local site which is known for these rare & beautiful birds. Did not know the male had a blue eye ring - never seen so close. 6 Black-bellied too. #birds#birding#birdphotography#birdsseenin2026
Nice comparison between Dunlin and Little Stint at Laguna de La Mata, Costa Blanca this morning, 26 of the latter plus Grey Plover, Kentish Plover, Black-winged Stilt, Avocet, Redshank, Slender-billed & Audouin’s Gull, Gtr Flamingo and Marsh Harrier. #Aves#España #Birding
Back to patch photography with Kingfisher, an interesting Pochard x Tufted Duck hybrid and an obliging Dunnock in mild and sunny weather. #MarburyCountryPark @CAWOSBirding
The Blyth White-billed Diver was not as close as many lucky observers have had it recently, but still in south harbour near the yacht club, been around area since 24th February. That's all five Diver species now seen in UK 👍. Great day out with @LEEDSTILIDIE1@teesbirds1
@Lanzuragi There’s a narrow path that goes up the rhs of Travis Perkins, off Spencer Road for the bird more north. The other bird is right by the concrete jetty from where I saw it yesterday. Decisions! 😂
@Jatty58 Thank you very much! It seems that one of the birds is being seen from the harbour and the other up river from the south bank, Im wondering which one will give the best views😅
White-billed Diver, Blyth Harbour. A bird I’ve wanted to see for a long, long time. Hardest part was finding a spot to view it from after it moved from the boat club area to the industrial, northern side of the harbour. Too distant for photos. #WhiteBilledDiver#YellowBilledLoon
@Lanzuragi If it’s mid harbour, try Quayside Carpark, off Quay Street on west side of harbour. It’ll save you the long drive to the opposite side. A second bird turned up late afternoon, so there are now two. Good luck.
@Jatty58 Hi Mark, lovely vid! I'm planning on getting there tomorrow, what would be the best spot to try and see it? I don't really know the area so I'm a bit lost
@Lanzuragi Hi Lander. If it’s at the southern, yacht club end of harbour, ask for permission to wander around there. If it’s moved to the northern end, head for the concrete jetty at North Blyth via the village of Cambois. You’ll be by the Port of Blyth entrance at opp side of harbour.
