I need to see the ref’s angle. It looks as if Cooper might’ve been holding J’wan’s right arm down, which would explain the immediate whistle. Not a tough call if that was the case, very tough call if it wasn’t.

@mar5hallhoops Some state high school basketball associations do have a mercy rule, typically 35 points. Sometimes it can be for safety. Some teams will run up the score to embarrass a team. If both teams are respecting the game and playing hard the running clock sucks.

You charge families an arm and a leg to get into tournaments but then have the nerve to do running clocks when the score gets lopsided. Basketball people are the most “get over on you” people in all of sports.

@NataTheScribe I'm not sure how Flagg will translate at the next level. Incredibly skilled. But not athletically elite. He doesn't have the superior strength or wide body to control his defender. It will take him a few years to unlock in the NBA
