THERE IS NO CLIMATE CRISIS. It's all made up using bad IPCC models. CO2 is NOT a driver of temperature increase it's vital for plants ( & food) to grow and for humans and animals to survive. Did you know that in Roman times ( ~2000 ya) the climate was at least 2- 4 degrees warmer than it is now. This is know from analysis of Greenland Ice cores. But we "can't afford the state pension". The state pension makes up about 10% of UK public spending. That extra payment earmarked for foreign aid is about 1.5% of public spending. Shouldn't we be aiding our own people first? I bet we could find other examples of UK taxpayer money being squandered on non British citizens that could be spent on British people in Britain. Wars in Ukraine and the Middle East? Asylum seeker accommodation? NHS treatment for non citizens? Benefits for non citizens? Efficiency savings in the civil service? An end to final salary linked pensions in the public sector? All of that would comfortably pay for the state pension. It's not that we can't afford the state pension. Politicians have just decided pensioners are not their priority. Foreign aid, foreign wars, fat pensions for public sector workers, benefits for non Brits, are all more important, apparently.

No. "The State" is now global, so Burnham alone can't change it, even if he wanted to and had the skills to do it. It will take an alliance of talented mavericks to break up the Deep State, and Burnham is just another machine politician. And anyway, I'd argue we don't want people to have confidence in the State. I'd argue it's our duty as humans to be permanently suspicious about the State and spend our lives ensuring it remains as small and uninvolved in our lives as possible.

Well said! One of the key obstacles to achieving this , however, is the lack of acknowledgement from the UK government about the failings/disasters of COVID mismanagement and harms ( that you list). The recent COVID Enquiry has failed in this - unsurprisingly. The battle goes on.

My medical colleagues must be indicted on a multiplicity of crimes over the last six years . 1. Not recognising the low pathogenicity of a coronavirus . 2. Not recognising the fraud of PCR as a diagnosis test. 3. Not recognising the stupidity of masking. 4. Not recognising the stupidity of social distancing. 5. Not recognising the absence of a need for a vaccine . 6. Not recognising the lethal nature of the gene therapy. 7. Not accepting the reality of excess death . 8. Covering their previous crimes. Like all psychopaths they don’t learn from their mistakes have no empathy for their victims and will go on damaging people until stopped. Many will argue that the above are not crimes but I feel they were if wilful and they caused major death and injury, which they did.
