Seniors voted for Carney in record numbers. Here’s what they got: $1.2 billion cut from mental health & addictions Pharmacare expansion effectively dead. $600 million cut from long-term care $500 million cut from drugs for rare diseases Health transfers dropping from 5% to 3% after 2028 CANADA HAS AMONG THE FASTEST AGING POPULATION IN THE G7. But Carney is sending $25 billion to a “sovereign wealth fund.” Gave $120 million to Sudan $200 million for a gravel pad in Nova Scotia Yet these cuts, EVERY SINGLE ONE, hits seniors the hardest.

🚨 BREAKING Juno News obtained a confidential Canadian Armed Forces report. A basic officer training platoon in Quebec: 83% non-citizens. Many recruits had been in Canada for less than 3 months. Graduation rate: less than 50%. The platoon collapsed into ethnic infighting between Cameroonian and Côte d’Ivoire recruits. Multiple racial discrimination complaints, filed in every direction. The report’s most common concern: “Lack of respect towards women.” The CAF’s own words: “For many candidates it is the first time they have lived with members of a different sex, and for some it is also the first time they have been expected to treat women as their peers.” Carney is boasting about record military recruitment. This is what record recruitment actually looks like. People who’ve been in Canada for 90 days. Can’t communicate fluently. Don’t respect female officers. Fighting each other along ethnic lines. THIS IS NOT OUR ARMY.

@JayFromEdmonton @yegwave According to Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack, ending these seven volunteer advisory committees isn't a budget decision and won't save the city much money. They're mostly citizen volunteers with minimal administrative costs. No specific dollar figures have been released.

Horrible sequence for Dach. Ices the puck, then gets walked at the blueline off the face-off. Game over.

People who are deemed palliative and dying of cancer have sought out psilocybin therapy by health Canada for end of life anxiety (noted to be highly effective for this purpose) and more often than not their application is refused or they die before they hear back. But you can die by MAID within weeks of applying (if eligible, which most palliative people would be)

@DavidStaplesYEG It’s easier to die by MAID than it is to get approval by health Canada to receive psychedelic therapy. It’s so backwards

@mchooyah I don’t think that’s accurate. If taken in the wrong set and setting, for someone not ready for that experience it absolutely can make you spiritually vulnerable. It needs to be deeply respected and utilized responsibly

Canada is gravely concerned by the escalating crisis in Sudan. Starvation is being used as a weapon, civilians are being targeted, and women and girls face widespread violence. Today, we’re announcing over $120 million to deliver urgent, life-saving support to those affected. Humanitarian aid must reach those in need—safely and without obstruction. Canada calls for an immediate ceasefire and a path to lasting peace.
