Mark, I get the consistency point with Bruno’s tackle that was reckless too and probably should’ve been looked at harder. But watching Havertz’s one back, he comes in late from behind, studs raking down the calf, zero ball contact. That’s exactly the type of challenge the laws call ‘serious foul play’ to protect players.

Just seen the Havertz "Red". Not for me. They don't consistently get given anymore. Two years ago yes. But this season the PGMOL have been very consistent on not giving reds for that so not a red for me. Bruno on Szobozlai two weeks ago for example

This is horrific misuse of VAR. Re-refereeing the game and working to convince the ref to change his decision. Scandalous.

Audio has been released for the Gyokeres penalty at Newcastle. Darren England’s made his mind up very early, and does everything he can to convince Jarred Gillet to re-referee the game via the screen. Not to mention a complete misapplication of the laws. This is a blunder.

You could easily say if Gyokeres leg was planted further forward pope could have injured him too, but that’s hypothetical, as is your statement. Fact is keeper came out, got the ball but also the man in both cases, they are similar

In this case it’s a similar sequence, same order of events, but Sanchez gets both legs vs pope against a knee. Could you explain the differences?

@JayMcThomas @football_pb Are you having a laugh? Sanchez literally goes through the ball and the player with the most obvious foul youll see. Gyokeres is already on his way down after he a touches the ball looking for a pen, if it was the other end you lot would be screaming VAR injustice.

@football_pb Give me an example where a penalty has been given in a similar circumstance? Gyokeres touches the ball away from the keeper and then throws himself to the ground, Pope manages to get a foot on the ball, it's never a pen.
