I was rocking my crying 1-year-old son to sleep as I read this. And then I started crying. And then I ugly cried. Why is this acceptable? Why have we allowed this to become the norm? It’s infuriating, saddening, and disappointing. We can do better.

You were also a big influence on where I went to college, so I'm genuinely not sure I would be where I am without you choosing ministry.

Update: New plane is at the gate. Here’s to praying they make it in time. They have to drive an hour after leaving the airport. Also shoutout to @SouthwestAir for replying to me within minutes offering to get an update for them.

To anyone who sees this, could you say a prayer my parents make it to Little Rock soon? Their @SouthwestAir flight is delayed and my mom is trying to see her little brother one last time. He’s only 51, on hospice after his cancer treatments didn’t work, and declining quickly.

I became an ICU nurse at the end of July in 2020, during one of the first peaks of covid when it was all still so new. I learned how to be a nurse behind a respirator and a yellow gown, amidst the constant beeping and hissing of ventilators that couldn't support failing lungs.

Friends- My 14 year old golden, Max, is going downhill fast. It is breaking my heart. He is not in any pain at all. If I have to let him go, should I be there with him? I really feel that I should, but I honestly don't know if I can take it. I love this boy so much. Opinions? 💔
