Wisconsin’s @Jon_Reader is stepping away from coaching and taking on a new role as Vice President of Sales with Home Pro Roofing. The sport is losing a great one in the corner- but knowing Jon, wrestling won’t be far from whatever comes next. He’s made a lasting impact both on and off the mat. And on a personal note, he was one of the first D1 coaches to reach out and support me when I was just getting started with wrestling content. That always stuck with me. Great wrestler. Great coach. Even better person. Now he’s taking that same work ethic and mindset into the business world- and if you know Jon, you know he’s going to crush it. @typ0725 @MatScouts1 They have a great class coming in. Might not be the most flashiest class like some others, but 〽️ is on the right track. Wolbert, Mendoza, Haakon Peterson, Henry, Cosby, Brodie and Williams.

@MatScouts1 I made a whole topic on internet defending them this season, lot of people were down. They greatly exceeded expectations. I’m pumped to get Mendoza and Wolbert next year

Michigan only brought 6 reps. 5 AA'd. Three made semi's. Finished 7th. Really great tournament.

@StacyBehr As long as they call stalling way earlier in the match. College needs the shot clock like freestyle. No points in the first minute, someone is going on the shot clock

So yesterday I saw multiple cases of guys with a lead with <20 seconds straight up completely avoiding engaging - i.e. stalling. Not even slightly subtly. Are college refs unaware hitting stalling once does not preclude them hitting again 5 seconds later if they keep stalling?

Transfer Portal opens up in 10 days, on April 1st. Last year, it was open during NCAA's - and this was a very heavy week of portal action. Wll be curious to see if wrestlers announce their intent to hit the portal.

My Crystal Ball for 2027 will come out next week. #1 PSU - only loses Levi, and is super stocked. But expect a lot of RS's and wt shuffling #2 OKST - loses just Konnor. very deep roster. Jamison back healthy #3 Nebraska - Loses Hardy, Lamer, and Silas. Couple young guys waiting in the wings. may be active in portal in a few spots #4 Iowa - Graduates Dean, Drake, Mikey and PK. probably active in portal #5 Ohio State - loses Mendez, Paddy, Kharchla. Very good roster/recruiting.
