I mean we now have a trend of Bouzakis underperforming at NCAAs. Does tOSU start exploring McCrone, or someone else as their main option? Bouzakis is a great wrestler and a lot of other teams would be happy to have him.

NCAA Finals Thoughts: -McGowan did not make a real effort to win that match. Content keeping it close. Strange to see no urgency in the final minute when he was down by 1. -Jax showed that he can control the chaos that he usually brings. Davino did a great job slowing him down but Jax adapted and became a true frosh national champ. Not sure how you score on that guy. -I was completely wrong about Mendez/Vega. Vega is truly a wizard and impossible to take down. Mendez looked hesitant to get to legs and veered from what worked for him all year long. Credit to OSU and Vega. -Valencia has such a large arsenal he is going to be tough to beat. Freshman national champ by taking out Van Ness in an instant classic. -Antrell Taylor showed that he could win the close gritty matches all year long, but Robideau beat him in his own game. Reversed the result from this szn and took out the reigning champ. Okie state is ROLLING. -Messenbrink looked better than ever. He’s one of the best college wrestlers of all time. Still only 1 career loss. -Refs handed the match to Haines once again. Hated that stall call. But Haines caps his stellar career with 2nd title. -McEnelly gets one back on Welsh. Beautiful takedown and Welsh failed to come back bc of his lack of offense. -Josh Barr with a DOMINANT szn. Only 1 decision all year long. Right there with MM for hodge. -Trumble beats Yonger with his ability to wrestle like a lower weight (scramble and ride legs). Very impressive performance in beating the undefeated 1 seed.
