As a Web3 headhunter, I don't go to events to network. I go to understand where the market is actually heading - because that's what makes the difference between placing average talent and placing the right talent.
Last week's room said a lot. Regulators, institutions, and builders in serious conversation about the future of digital assets in the UAE. No fluff. Outcome-driven.
For me, that directly translates into what roles will be critical in the next 6-12 months, what skills tier 1 projects will compete for, and which candidates are ahead of the curve.

Honestly, if you're looking for a job in Web3 right now - the market is better than people think. You just need to know where to look.
I've been deep in this space for a while and here's what I'm actually seeing on the ground 👇
🏦 RWA Tokenization — go here first
This sector went from $5.5B to $29.2B in just 15 months. BlackRock, Ondo, Securitize are all growing fast and they genuinely cannot find enough people. If you come from finance, legal, or compliance — they want you. Even if you're not fully crypto-native yet.
📊 Perp DEXs — one of the most exciting spaces to work in right now
Hyperliquid is doing $21.8B in 24hr volume. Coinbase just acquired Deribit for $2.9B. Prediction markets are exploding. The whole perp and derivatives space is attracting serious capital and serious hiring — engineers, product, trading ops, and BD. Fast-moving, well-funded, and genuinely fun to work in.
💵 Stablecoins — more stable than you'd think
Circle, Ripple, Paxos now have actual bank charters. These aren't scrappy startups anymore — they're regulated financial institutions building proper teams. BD, compliance, product, treasury. Real roles, real salaries, real stability.
🤖 AI + Crypto — if you have any AI background, listen up
Hiring in this space is up 60% and salaries are sitting at $140K–$250K. The overlap between ML and blockchain is so small that if you're in it — companies will come to you. Seriously worth investing time here if you're an engineer.
📊 Big Exchanges — underrated option
Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Bybit are all hiring across the board. Kraken added 750+ roles in a single month last year. These companies offer real career paths, good comp, and they're not going anywhere.
🔐 Engineering? Learn Rust or ZK
Fewer than 500 engineers globally are qualified in ZK proofs. That's it. Rust commands 65% above base salary. Smart contract auditing pays $140K–$260K. Six months of focused learning in any of these = a very different job search experience.
💰 TradFi x Crypto — the sweet spot nobody talks about
BlackRock, JPMorgan, Fidelity are paying 30% above market for people who understand both worlds. If that's you — please know your worth and go get it.
❌ And where to avoid right now
NFTs, GameFi, SocialFi — the hiring just isn't there. Even Animoca, the biggest name in Web3 gaming, has moved on to payment rails. That tells you everything.
The opportunities in Web3 in 2026 are real. You just have to be in the right place.
