Where is the manpower plan NHS managers promised us? They need to fill the many vacancies, cut the use of expensive agency staff and raise morale to tackle the waiting lists.

@JayneTottle My mother was housekeeping and volunteered within the day centre at whitchurch..around 1980 s I took part in a concert as a child there. My aunt and mum dressed as a chicken ?? And my sister and I wore welsh costumes. And had a giant leek. We still talk about it now.

40 years ago today I started as a mental health nurse in Whitchurch Hospital. Where has the time gone? I would choose the same profession if I had my time over again. It’s an amazing occupation and a privilege to work with service users and healthcare staff.

@JBellCardiff @lynne_neagle Couldn’t agree more with Jayne’s statement. The government needs to demonstrate it us serious about mental health and equity across all fields of nursing.
