@abbaraaaa @nikicaga Of course. But creating the factories to make those munitions takes time. Nigeria’s domestic weapons manufacturing is currently quite primitive. Assuming another power like the U.S. doesn’t step in they will run out of advanced munitions long before they play a decisive role.

If a full scale war broke out they would use every single technology of the 21st century they can manufacture to win the war. The gap between 1940's and today is too great.

@abbaraaaa @nikicaga That Air Force has substantially struggled to defeat Islamic militants with quite primitive weaponry. If you assume they can throw the entire Wehrmacht & Luftwaffe into it, Nigeria simply won’t have enough munitions to kill more than a fraction.

And it seems to me that before you ask people to adopt false or dubious factual claims, you need some evidence that it will actually accomplish something.
Because there is a cost here. We are giving up on truth as a value, and that's a significant step back.

I am starting an ongoing thread of problems I have with the truth of religious claims. It's not a Sam Harris style prosletyzation of nonbelief. It will also avoid obvious objections like the Problem of Evil. It's just all the little ways I don't think organized religion works.

China's economic strength is only just beginning to exert a cultural gravity, so the situation will be different in twenty and especially fifty years. There are other issues too - the old binational understanding of Canada died, so last salient aspect of Canadian identity is anti-Americanism.

There is a small but real chance that China will succeed in using Canada against the United States in the manner that the United States uses Ukraine against Russia. She already has men in both parliament & the security forces.
