The ODM party must unite before it is too late. The Edwin Sifuna, Babu Owino and Orengo sides must Unite with the Oburu, Wanga and Joho side if they ever cared about Raila Odinga's legacy

Why is it so difficult for members of parliament like Ndindi Nyoro to just go to parliament and introduce bills that remove fuel levies and VAT on fuel? Why always social media posts and press conferences yet they have a platform and mandate in the national assembly?

GTG oil deal cannot guarantee us steady supply of fuel. Has failed to guarantee us quality fuel supply. And has now clearly failed to guarantee us a cushion against price shocks. So what exactly is it good for?

MP Ndindi Nyoro: It is time for leaders tame their greed. Kenyans cannot accommodate global supply shock and also accommodate their greed at the same time. This is not the time to make money out of the misery of Kenyans

Mr President, Stop the talk. File a petition to halt this nonsense by thieves determined to impoverish Kenyans.
Charles Kanjama SC@ckanjama

The sharp increase in fuel prices announced by EPRA, particularly the KShs 46.29 rise in diesel prices, will inevitably intensify pressure on households, public transport, small businesses and the overall cost of living. Diesel remains central to transport, food production and commercial activity, meaning the inflationary impact of this adjustment will be felt across the economy, especially by ordinary Kenyans already under strain. While global instability and supply disruptions in the Persian Gulf continue to affect international energy markets, Government retains a constitutional obligation under Article 201 to ensure that public finance promotes an equitable society. Fuel pricing decisions cannot be divorced from their social and economic consequences. Although the KShs 5 billion Petroleum Development Levy subsidy is acknowledged, greater intervention and transparency remain necessary. The heightened reliance on petroleum taxation and levies as a major revenue source is further aggravated by lack of accountability, openness and meaningful public participation in line with the Constitution. In the premise, the government should urgently consider additional measures to cushion vulnerable sectors, strengthen oversight against price exploitation and ensure that public policy and revenue generation remain anchored in equity, social protection and economic justice.

By the time fuel reaches Kenyan shores, its price is relatively moderate and largely aligned with global crude trends. Even with crude hovering around $80–90 per barrel, the landed cost remains within a manageable range. What transforms that manageable cost into an economic burden is the heavy layering of taxes and levies imposed domestically.

The other group hasn’t even united to face him but Ruto is already crawling at 24%. The defeat of Ruto in 2027 will be so comprehensive that you won't even be able to tell him to "go home!" This one we will tell to "just disappear and never show your face again!"

The new @Tifa poll shows the obvious; that Sifuna’s support + Kalonzo+Matiang’I+Gachagua+Maraga is an obvious result: 54% against the president’s 24%. Never shoot the messenger

Let me get this clear: You put a mandatory tax on Kenyans to fund your building hobby, houses that most of these Kenyans won't own. Then later on, you come to say you want more money because what you have currently can't sustain your side quests? Ama sisi ndo wazimu?
