We are a tolerant country. But if you come here and break our laws, there is no place for you here.

You don't have to be in love with Starmer to be strongly in favour of him remaining as leader. The progress is evident. And I've heard nothing about the wallpaper in his flat, who's paying for his nanny, or dodgy loans brokered by the BBC Chair. He's the antidote of all that.

Keir Starmer’s going to Makerfield to campaign for Andy Burnham. The level of integrity & grace in Keir is truly humbling. He’s going to help the person who betrays & conspires against him, because he wants Labour as a team to do well, only proving why Keir is the rightful PM.

Nine years on from the Manchester Arena terror attack, my thoughts are with those who lost their lives, the survivors, and their loved ones. Last year I was proud to deliver on my promise to Figen Murray to introduce Martyn’s Law, in memory of her son Martyn Hett. Martyn’s Law will help save lives by making sure venues and event spots have clear plans in place and are ready to act if the worst happens.

Whatever metric you use this Country is in a much better place than it was on 4 July 2024. Only the media is keeping that quiet. Shout it from the rooftops. Labour are rebuilding Britain. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Backbench MPs (and Wes Streeting) chose to ignore all the progress this Government is making, because of some bad local election results three years out from a general election 👍
Alex Wickham@alexwickham

In a parallel universe Labour would be talking about economic growth outperforming expectations and being revised upwards this year, NHS waiting lists hitting the lowest in 3.5 years and - just now - net migration halving last year to 171,000. Instead they’re in crisis.
