𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 IMPD Aggravated Assault Detectives arrested 24-year-old Jesus Haro on multiple felony charges following an early morning shooting near the intersection of S. Meridian Street and E. Georgia Street that left an adult male injured. On Friday, April 10, 2026, at approximately 2:45a.m., IMPD Downtown District officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. Meridian Street and E. Georgia Street on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived on-scene and were initially unable to locate a victim. Minutes later, an adult male walked into an area hospital with injuries consistent with a gunshot would. The male victim was thankfully in stable condition. Immediately following the shooting, numerous 911 callers provided a description of a person possibly responsible for the shooting. Downtown District officers patrolling the area located a male matching the description, later identified as Haro, walking southbound on S. Meridian Street. Officers detained Haro and another adult male without issue. The second male was later released pending further investigation. A firearm was also recovered nearby where Haro was initially stopped. Following consultation with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO), Haro was arrested on the following preliminary charges: -Criminal Recklessness (Level 5 Felony) -Criminal Recklessness (Level 6 Felony) -Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun (Level 5 Felony) An arrest is merely an accusation, and Haro should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The MCPO will ultimately make the final charging decision. Case: IP260027219

Indianapolis City Councilor Ron Gibson tells 13News his near northeast side home was shot up this morning. The front door to the home has about a dozen apparent bullet holes and the exterior glass door is shattered. Gibson tells us he thinks it was a targeted incident because a sign that read “no data centers” was left under the door mat. It comes nearly a week after city leaders approved rezoning for a data center near 25th Street and Sherman Drive, in Gibson's district. IMPD is on scene and tells us it’s an active investigation.
