I haven't blogged in 3 years. Here's the last one I wrote; jedirev.wordpress.com/2020/12/19/hig… I'm v. depressed that the situation is far worse now than was then. The #Highlands are a mess. #HPMAs gonna add more devastation. I was asking then for a H&I CPG. Maybe time for an H&I Party?

Shabana Mahmood, Home Secretary. “Recent scandals – such as Hillsborough, infected blood and the Post Office Horizon – have reminded us that the state and those acting on its behalf are not always benign. I have always held the view that, for this reason, the state should serve a clear role. It should protect and preserve life, not take it away. The state should never offer death as a service.”

@Jedirev @rod1877 @AnasSarwar @donaldlabour At least you have an alternative route to take (using Tiree's usual ferry, the Clansman, I might add!) even if it takes longer. We've had no ferry since Thursday and then Monday before that. A new ferry agency won't help if they keep doing the same thing with ferry procurement.

On ferries, I agree with @AnasSarwar - if this was the M8, there would be no limit to efforts to fix the problem. The treatment of islanders who rely on SNP-(mis)managed national infrastructure is appalling. If @donaldlabour can help fix it, he's got my vote. Today's grief:

Easter holidays. With the @CalMacFerries MV Clansman covering the Skye triangle at much reduced capacity and service, we've just had to plan a short trip from Lewis to Skye via Ullapool, with an extra journey following week because the car can't travel back the same day as us!

It's all just about birth certificates, said Alasdair Allan when I challenged him on the doorstep. This obsession is dangerous for women's rights. Cannot understand why the SNP feel this needs to be anywhere but the long grass.

We have been warned. If returned to Govt, the SNP plan on immediately introducing a "trans inclusive" conversion therapy ban, which in all likelihood will make it a criminal offence to help confused children accept their sex and feel comfortable with their bodies.

Background to this - recent polling commissioned by @LogosScotland suggests that across the full range of Christian denominations in Scotland, there's a significant cohort of undecided voters. Christians are looking for politicians with integrity, convictions and character.
