They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

@Panagio3309288 @simongerman600 Just look at the figures as a cold statistical census figure, without laying blame on any cause in particular. The population peaked in 1841 at 8.2 million. The population in 2025 was 7.4 m. Until the current population reaches 8.2 m it has not recovered to the 1841 peak.

Ireland’s population chart remains a wild one to look at. The country has still not recovered from the Great Famine (1845-52).

@Panagio3309288 @simongerman600 He's not talking about deaths only. He's talking about population loss which included deaths and emigration. Including one branch of my own family from County Roscommon, which saw the greatest population loss of all counties. Not just the famine, but the after-effects too.

@simongerman600 Are you sure you took into account the immigration to the US? ~2.5 million Irish moved to America between 1860-1910, i.e. after the famine.
