@MeridianMining's Cabaçal copper-gold project's DFS is progressing well and is now at over 70% completed. We are on track for reporting this later in the quarter. While this summer passes the work streams of bringing Cabaçal back into production are advancing. $LSE.MNO $TSX.MNO

Canada is going in a different direction. We will get there. Not buying American is the best way to shut these bullies down. Let's go full throttle. No more Walmart, Costco McDonald's, Burger King. Let's make a list of Canadian stores. Let it hurt.

So Trudeau is jumping around in his girlfriend's video. Big fucking deal. He's gone, folks. You wanted him out, and he's out. He's a private citizen. I don't give a shit what he does. Why do you?

So, without any public consultation, the Smith UCP government signed agreements that will allow Meta, a foreign corporation, to use power equivalent to that used by city of Edmonton for at least TWO YEARS before Meta’s own power plant is up and running. cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

He's a lying bastard, but if it's in any way true that Canada chickened out, Carney is going to wear it. #cdnpoli

I just returned from Saudi Arabia with Prime Minister Carney. We signed 13 new agreements worth over $1 billion and deepened cooperation on energy, AI, and critical minerals. Canada has what the world wants, and we are increasingly a top destination for investment.

We cancelled a planned trip to Florida in the winter of 2025 and another that summer to New York City. Not planning to return anytime soon. I hear a LOT of other Canadian have done the same. You?

They've been dredging the Fraser River South Arm for decades. 3 to 4.5 million cubic metres every single year just to keep the deep sea channel open. Routine maintenance, zero drama, no sudden "sacred" lawsuits grinding it to a halt. Now Tsleil-Waututh is throwing a tantrum over a one-time 25,000 cubic metre dredge in the Second Narrows. That's less than one percent of a single year's Fraser volume. All so tankers at Westridge can actually load to full capacity instead of limping out at 80 percent like some half-assed operation. Burrard Inlet doesn't even see this kind of regular work. It's project specific and laughably tiny by comparison. Same oil volume, fewer trips, better economics for BC. Port's had the permits for months. This is FN trying to play more delay games on infrastructure we've been using for 20 plus years without issue. What a joke. Enough already. Get it done. cheknews.ca/b-c-first-nati…

@s4rah_dev You're missing the part where this is the equivalent of nearly the entire power usage of the City of Edmonton being "created" for 300 jobs at most. That's a lot of pollution for very minimal benefit.

This is a terrible idea. The facility will require 1 gigawatt of electricity. The entire City of Edmonton uses 1.4 gigawatts of electricity. 300 jobs will require almost as much electricity as 1.2 MILLION people.

Meta is building a 1GW data centre in Alberta, investing CAD $13 billion in the project. It’s Meta’s first data centre in Canada, and 33rd worldwide. Meta says they will pay for the full energy costs (natural gas) of the project, expected to create 300 operational jobs.

Let’s be clear: Meta chose Alberta because the UCP ditched the requirement for impact assessments. They got approval without having to address concerns about the project’s impact on our water usage or power prices. Smith serves the billionaire class, not Albertans.
Danielle Smith@ABDanielleSmith

One of the largest private sector investments in Canadian history is coming home to Alberta. @Meta has chosen Alberta for its first Canadian AI data centre, a historic $13 billion investment that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen our economy, and help position our province as a global leader in artificial intelligence and technology. This project will support 3,000 construction jobs, 300 permanent positions, generate an estimated $250 million in annual benefits for Albertans, and invest $60 million into local roads, water, and community infrastructure. Meta is fully funding new generation and grid infrastructure to support the data centre, which will improve reliability across the entire Alberta grid benefiting electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills. We are proud to welcome Meta to and thank them for their confidence in our province, our economy, and most importantly, our people. Alberta has the energy, talent, and ambition to power the next generation of innovation.

This is massive from Canadian PM Mark Carney 👏 🇨🇦 PM Carney: "We’re looking to double our non-US exports. We’re on track for that. We should move on from the US. 🔥 Also, we’re growing jobs at twice the rate of the United States." Basically, Canada is DITCHING Trump 💪
