@hTownLowDown @JeremyBranham Ohtani won mvps with the Angels. Team performance should not be a factor for an MVP vote.

Yordan Alvarez was just named the AL Player of the Month for April and he’s that big an underdog to Aaron Judge?!?
Kalshi Sports@KalshiSports
NEW: The Yankees have TWO of the top favorites for both MVP and Cy Young, via Kalshi: MVP: 43% — Aaron Judge (NYY) 26% — Yordan Alvarez 8% — Ben Rice (NYY) 8% — Bobby Witt Jr Cy Young: 23% — Tarik Skubal 18% — Cam Schlittler (NYY) 17% — Jose Soriano 12% — Max Fried (NYY)

@saucecastillo98 @GOrwell2020 @ASTR0SFANBOY @michaelschwab13 Yes, if everyone continues at or near the pace they are playing, Alvarez will take home the hardware. It's early for sure, but this is all based on speculation anyway.
English

@JeffRHallock @GOrwell2020 @ASTR0SFANBOY @michaelschwab13 it’s alvarez’s to lose?? they’ve played 25 games
English

Yordan Alvarez should be leading all of this by a far margin. What are people waiting for?

Updated AL MVP Favorites: 35% — Aaron Judge 22% — Yordan Alvarez 9% — Bobby Witt Jr. 7% — Ben Rice 6% — Nick Kurtz 5% — Jose Ramirez 3% — Mike Trout 3% — Cal Raleigh Can Ben Rice make a run?
English

@GOrwell2020 @ASTR0SFANBOY @michaelschwab13 Look at 2019. Alex Bregman similar stats on winning team. The precedent has been set. It's Alvarez's to lose.
English

@ASTR0SFANBOY @michaelschwab13 Yes, doesn’t mean he should have won MVP and in those years the competition wasn’t a guy like Judge, whose numbers are similar but who plays on a winning team

@watchLiveMusic @BBGreatMoments Stole more bases than Ken Griffey Jr, believe it or not.
English

@BBGreatMoments I love how many people don't realize that base running a base stealing are two different things. Jeff Bagwell was a great baserunner that didn't steal a ton of bases.
English

@Super70sSports Looks like if Rob Gronkowski dressed up as Rod Stewart for Halloween.
English

@HoopGrids No money leftover for a decent camera apparently
English

@end_hysteria @GoodmanHoops His son will be taking over once he retires. I don't see much changing in terms of culture and expectations.
English

@GoodmanHoops The only thing Houston has going for them is Kelvin Sampson - once he retires, I can’t imagine the job will be all that attractive.

@CricketRookies @ckamka Who paid $40,000 for a Bonds 1986 Topps Traded?
I have 8 or 9 of the complete 1986 Topps Traded sets. They can be had for $39,000 each.

@RachGall @Big12Conference Can someone explain to me how UH's men's program can be so good yet the women can't get any traction?
English

The @Big12Conference has 12 teams inside the top 65 of the NET rankings:
TCU: 11
West Virginia: 24
Baylor: 27
Oklahoma State: 28
Texas Tech: 31
Iowa State: 32
Utah: 46
Arizona State: 49
Colorado: 51
BYU: 52
Kansas: 55
K-State: 63

@AstrosJosh Another low on base guy. Not what this Astros lineup needs.
English

@podoffame Trout's slash line will inevitably come down closer to Pujols' as his career winds down.
English

Albert Pujols first 11 seasons:
.328/.420/.617 Slash Line
1.037 OPS, 170 OPS+
Albert Pujols 22 season career:
.296/.374/.544 Slash Line
.918 OPS, 145 OPS+
Mike Trout career as of today:
.294/.406/.570 Slash Line
.976 OPS, 169 OPS+
Counting stats do matter because without them, someone 100 years from now is going to be saying Trout was the better hitter than Pujols because his career OPS and OPS+ was better. He was not. Peak Pujols was a baseball god.

@ChrisYBaldwin My question is why don't they ever wear their red uniforms anymore?
