The searing contempt that the political media had/has for Joe Biden vis a vis how they treat Donald Trump is just so incredibly revealing. Biden was a completely normal guy. A decent guy. A competent president. They treated him like a piece of shit who deserved to be demeaned on the daily.
Donald Trump is perhaps the worst person to ever serve in the US govt. He is a pathological liar. He is incompetent. Corrupt. Evil. And yet the political media seems to love him. He doesn't get 1/10th of the hatred that they reserved for Biden.

It sounds completely unbelievable now but there was a time during the Obama presidency where people like Glenn Greenwald talked of nothing but DRONESSS. Like, literally all they talked about. And if you didn't agree with them that it was the sole important issue, you were a bloodthirsty partisan shill.
Now, Trump is just regularly bombing random ships, with no proof or justification and he never even mentions it at all. Over and over. And he just completely ignores it.
About as sincerely principled as Matt Taibbi was to Free Speech.

Over 30 people were killed by Russian strikes in a little more than a day. No reaction, no coverage, not even condemnation. Nothing. If people were blown to bits anywhere else in Europe, there would be gigantic coverage, outrage, and help. But not in Ukraine.

Over the course of just over 24 hours, Russian strikes have claimed numerous civilian lives: - 7 people in Merefa (just outside Kharkiv) yesterday - 5 people in Poltava today (double tap targeted and killed firefighters) - 5 people in Kramatorsk - 12 people in Zaporizhzhia - 4 people in Dnipro just now All of these numbers still may update, unfortunately, since doctors are fighting for the life's of the injured. These strikes were intentionally launched on busy city streets in broad daylight to maximize casualties. These victims deserve to be remembered. This must be reported accurately, as a coordinated campaign of terror and murder, rather than isolated incidents that leave room for excuses.
