It’s just a word, I don’t care what history is attached to it, if you’d let something so trivial get at you or force you to act in some kind of way then you need to take a good hard look at yourself. How people speak and the way in which they use certain words is a reflection of them not the person they’re saying it too. If someone says something to you and it gets under your skin then perhaps it’s got less to do with the word and more to do with the shoe fitting! Seriously, so so sensitive and precious you can’t say a word it’s pathetic. Not saying you should use it, certainly not in a derogatory way but that goes for all slurs, time to harden up,honestly.

The overwhelming majority of the time women just shouldn’t be in what were once considered male occupations. If you look like a middle aged mum then you probably should be at home looking after the house and kids or working as a nurse etc. If you’re a cop, firefighter, solder, etc and you’re female, you need to be an elite female physically. Honestly I don’t think they should be there at all, the window just shouldn’t be open period, too many people have paid the ultimate price in the name of inclusivity all so some fat Karen doesn’t have her feelings hurt. There are some females that are absolute weapons, fact! But the overwhelming majority are not, and even those that are, when put in extreme situations the gap between male and female becomes real apparent real fast, again just fact! It’s not sexist or bigotry or any other slur you want to come up with, the reality is people are at greater risk having females in these roles, if you get a female that can mix it with the men in every metric by all means go for it, any less than that and we are failing everyone.
