I congratulated him but I had to show him the math. $140K salary = $8,750/month after tax $2,800 rent $650 car payment (Audi A4) $280 insurance $180 gas $1,200 DoorDash $400 eating out $200 gym $120 subscriptions $1,500 bottle service $900 barber (2x a week) $500 going out $200 random expenses He's left with $820. Daycare? $2,000/month. Now he's -$1,180 every month. $140K/year is survival, bro. how about you setup a store

@macjshiggins Moved away four years ago for that reason. I only miss it when I forget to change my watch when switching time zones manually. But my productivity and focus increased exponentially. I’ve also significantly reduced my phone notifications for this reason.

Has anyone else violently moved away from smart watches? One day it just became an attention interrupter and I couldn’t see it as anything else.

@miamimanmemedia I’d argue it’s like not studying to become a pilot and expecting your co-pilot to do all the flying. People don’t bail on a marriage or a flight unless there is something critically wrong.

Divorce rate is 52-54% in US, with women being the ones who file 72-74% of the time. Men, think about that for a moment.  That's like boarding a plane that has a 52-54% chance of crashing due to 3 out of 4 co-pilots deciding to bail out mid flight.

Mom and stepdad have worked physical jobs for nearly nothing their entire lives. Stepdad took in 7 kids when he met my mom and never accepted child support from my dad. Did whatever he could for us to have a chance at a real life. Took them to dinner Friday night and let them know I would be retiring them very comfortably for the rest of their lives. One of the best moments of my life.
