Austin rivers smoked it here. Said nothing but facts about draymond

The rookie analysts will point to pre PEDs Tatis but I don’t give a fuck about that. I just want 2024 end of season Tatis back. In his last 26 games including playoffs he hit .324/.367/.735 with 11 bombs. He wasn’t scared to whiff. He was just high leg kicking and nuking balls.

The Rays, as a team, have the flattest swings in baseball. From what I've seen, having a flat bat path is good for hitting fastballs, decent for contact overall, not always the best for slugging, particularly down in the zone.

Misael Tamarez Could be just a 3 pitch guy instead of 6 and Statcast is misclassifying some pitches but main thing is he’s gone from a primary ≈58% fastball guy to a ≈59% breaking ball guy. Velo up across the board. Arm angle has gone from 37° to 48°. Look at the zone%, chase%, whiff%, xwOBACon rates. Did Preller do it again?

I illustrate why Statcast bat speed is a bad stat. nytimes.com/athletic/72407…

Home plate umpire Dan Merzel called the ball fair, giving Matt Shaw a single despite it appearing clearly foul

What’s the science behind lefty swings looking more appealing than righty swings

The New York Mets' Horror Show continues. They lose their 10th in a row, 4-2, to the Chicago Cubs. It's now their longest losing streak since 2004. They have been outscored 60-18 in this streak. They have the worst record in baseball, 7-14.
