The Clippers traded James Harden and Ivica Zubac, then went 19-13 afterwards while adding 25 y/o star Darius Garland, 23 y/o Bennedict Mathurin, the No. 5 pick in the 2026 draft and a 2029 first-round pick. They did pretty well for themselves!

@Jst_B_Easy1312 @LLevi_V @mistahrackzz Sure, there has been no HOF who never had anyone good at basketball on their team at any point in their career. But I think its pretty clear that Draymond has been much more fortunate that most when it comes to the teams he has played on.

@Jst_B_Easy1312 @LLevi_V @mistahrackzz I guess we have a low ball for incredible. Draymond having Steph, Klay, and KD around him and Jokic having Jamal Murray being in the same box of "playing with incredible talent" seems silly.

Appreciate the shout from the @JustBB_Media guys on their weekend recap podcast! If you don't already listen, it's in the very top tier of baseball podcasts. Weekend recap is a must, they're all good. @PeterAppel23 and @AramLeighton8 asked for my breakdown, here are my theories on the Marsh BABIP: 1) Certainly some randomness involved, but 2000+ PA is a LOT. I was willing to consider it luck at 500 PA, that was a long time ago. 2) Always been heavily platoon-protected, minimal chances for bad contact by good lefties 3) Lefty and pretty quick, always an advantage 4) Doesn't care about strikeouts, still looking to do damage with two strikes ("just put it in play" isn't good for the old BABIP) 5) Lots of line drives, very few pop ups 6) Sprays the whole field and hits to all directions, even early in the count and on balls in the air. Always high "oppo air" rates That's all I've got! Any other ideas?

Haha, thanks! I've been tweeting about it for years, and it is still going up. The stat changes a lot based on qualifiers (I used 1900-), Jorge Alfaro is 3rd with 1500 PA! Top 10 is funny, too. Basically the best hitters in baseball 100+ years ago and three incredibly random guys:

@JimA6to4to3 @DallasCroob This is confusing to me though, you admit that pitchers are trying to throw harder and spin it more than ever, but refuse to believe that they are actually succeeding at that goal? But also saying that them trying is what’s causing more injuries?

@DallasCroob Spencer Strider Broke. He still has good stuff, but he’s a perfect example of chasing Velo and trying to spin everything as fast as he can. I love the kid. Quadzilla, but pitchers are becoming very high risks! Watch Dodgers. Next # of years all their pitchers will break, IMO!

List of the "Velocity is fake" culprits on this app & their career numbers(in a time with lower velocity btw): Jeff Frye - 91 OPS+ Matt Stark - 16 OPS+ Jason Michaels - 95 OPS+ Jim Anderson - 61 OPS+ Seth McClung - 80 ERA+ Doug Mientkiewicz - 100 OPS+ Gregg Zaun - 91 OPS+

@morepellent @RobertStock6 This interested me so I used 2025 arm angle data and checked the distributions and you do seem to see a bit of a skew towards lefties having a higher arm slot, but the average release points are very similar. 38.3° for lefties and 37.4° for righties.

@RobertStock6 That and just for whatever reason, left handed mechanics are more rotational. Like its true of left handed pitchers as well. Dont see many over the top lefties and once youre aware of it you cant not notice it. The whole which side of your brain controls what theory maybe.

@dannybarrand_ @fxalipranti_ Not that it matters, but curious that his extension was down today. My guess would be using legs less trying to preserve energy with the elevation, but also he was averaging 102.8 so that doesn't seem correct.

@BaseballWRLD_ Are you really doing a victory lap because a platoon player hit a short porch home run after getting a spot start.
