My view on this year’s MVP race has been that SGA’s superior defense, efficiency and ability to limit turnovers edges out Luka’s slight volume edge and big playmaking and rebounding edges. I don’t care much about team record but SGA has that as well, with plenty of OKC injuries.

Like I think if 2026 Luka faced the MVP competition 2007 Dirk did, he wins. His resume is better than the 2007 field’s. But he’s not competing against the field I 2007, he’s competing in 2026. Sometimes there are multiple guys with MVP-caliber resumes and it gets hard.

Luka’s in shape and obviously playing amazing but during this 6 game heater he hasn’t upped his drives at all, still at around 13.5 per game like it has all season
