While the centrism of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is popular in his home state, some Democrats want a fighter to be their next presidential nominee on.wsj.com/3QIFTd0

WSJ: Josh Shapiro Is No-Drama. But Is That What Democrats Want in 2028? While the Pennsylvania governor’s centrism is popular in his home state, some Democrats want a more-aggressive fighter to be their next presidential nominee wsj.com/politics/elect…

RCP: Bill Maher endorses Graham Platner for US Senate in Maine Maher on Platner: “I would still urge the folks in Maine to vote for him, for two reasons.” “One, we need to restore balance in our government, and a Democratic Senate would help a lot with that.” “And two, get used to it, America is a country filled with a lot of broken, horribly educated, phone addicted, sort of nutty people, and as long as we live in a representative democracy, we are always electing our reflection in the mirror.” Link to article: realclearpolitics.com/video/2026/06/…

The "I f***ing love Science" crowd turning on the man who popularized the electric car in America and out-rocket-launches NASA by orders of magnitude because of politics is a funny twist. Maybe they don't really f***ing love science that much

My biggest concern about AOC is that she's trapped in 2018-era politics. If you are going to wholeheartedly endorse someone like Kamala Harris, you have to do the same for someone like Graham. He's BETTER than Harris on the issues you claim to care about, he's the nominee.

Ryan Grim says he's glad Platner won because it's forcing progressives to confront bigotry against white men, comparing it to people coming out of the closet to address homophobia. If he had said this while we worked together at The Intercept, HR would've pushed him into lava.

hatred of immigrants is a sign of moral weakness. one of the more obvious tells that you're just not a good person.

CNN: AOC is ramping up her role as a key Democratic campaigner this fall — with a major tour in the works to test her national appeal ahead of a potential 2028 campaign. She's also been strategic and selective: notably, she has not endorsed Graham Platner in Maine’s Senate race — even as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have rallied for him — while distancing herself from other controversial or risky associations cnn.com/2026/06/11/pol…

Susan Collins has essential tremors. It’s not fatal and it doesn’t impede her job. There are plenty of ways to criticize Susan Collins (I give her hell everyday) but this is just ableism.

Update: Bluesky isn't too happy Platner easily won the nomination

@Kuomozelion @BozoVinny She's always playing too safe. Not a fan of Platner but she needs to grow a spine and not be worried that people will yell at her

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces began launching self-defense strikes against Iran at 5 p.m. ET today at the Commander in Chief’s direction, in response to yesterday’s downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter. The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression.

Last year, I watched a woman sacrifice her career to stand on principle and warn the public about a dangerous man. Genevieve has been relentlessly attacked—but she kept her honor and her soul. She has inspired me to stay strong through this storm. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

pretty insane for a sitting congressmen to admit that they’d rather Becerra run against a republican over a democrat which could boost republican turnout in November this is disqualifying and should enrage every democrat in the state

At a Graham Platner rally in Portland. “Would an Israeli flag tattoo be a deal breaker?” “Honestly yeah, because I don’t support genocide.”

CNN: Platner’s campaign just announced raising over $200,000 in a single day following the New York Times article — their best fundraising day since Janet Mills dropped out of the Maine Senate race

Graham Platner represents a rejection of Dem HR lady politics
