@CatDocMD I usually start with "I saw xyz in your chart, but just want to confirm/clarify..." and ask follow up questions. I need to get the sx directly from pt. And it helps to have them clarify hx and their understanding of what's going on

@AcademicSurgery Curious what others experience is with maintaining supply? During training I found it very hard to maintain my supply even if I was finding time to pump

@AcademicSurgery Overall people were supportive during training. Ex would give people a heads up I needed to pump and would likely miss sign in/positioning. Had a pump room available close to OR. Longer cases were a struggle still

@AcademicSurgery 1st during training. Difficult to find enough time to pump/completely empty when I did pump. Made it 7 mo. 2nd as new attending and I have more control over schedule. Willow during commute and in OR if needed. 8 mo and still going strong

Is 'stripping the tube' a regional thing? Or do thoracic surgeons everywhere call it this? And PSA, no matter what you call it: warn the patient that it might hurt when that negative pressure reaches the pleural space, and be ready to abort if it's too severe.

If you’ve never had this for breakfast, do you even work in healthcare?

@GeneralSturgeon I love the sulcus as a landmark! Even though I can't pronounce it correctly
