May I ask a sincere question? If, in the last election, you earned 169 seats and members of Parliament from other parties expressed a genuine desire to join the government caucus and sit as Conservative MPs, would you truly turn them away? Would you refuse the opportunity to strengthen your mandate and broaden your coalition, simply because they were not originally elected under your banner?

The Liberals came within less than 1% of winning Nunavut. When Lori Idlout says her constituents were pressuring her to join the government caucus, she's serious. No one can claim her decision isn't democratic. MPs have every right to change what caucus they sit in.
