@sainsburys did the big shop today and his opened these raspberries and most of them are mouldy already. Very disappointed fruit loving kids over here…

How long should you nurse a baby?

@NickDixonITV My ND child entered reception age 4y2m. He could NOT do all these things on the list. However he recognised and could use all the phonics sounds to read and recognised numbers well beyond 100 and could do simple adding. Some kids are DIFFERENT. Such condescending attitudes here..

‘Ready for school checklist’ for kids has been published today. Use cutlery ✅ Be able to go to the toilet ✅ Willing to share toys ✅ Recognise their name ✅ Put on their own coat ✅ A head teacher in Manchester feels children get to school without the basic skills.

@Lynnemnaylor @WorkMHLeader @NickDixonITV There aren’t enough special school places available. My son did not tick all these boxes upon entering reception. He is autistic and has development delay. Both parents work FT so can’t homeschool. He needs education. Without an EHCP you don’t get a look in at special schools.

@WorkMHLeader @NickDixonITV I'm neuro divergent. I was not diagnosed officially until I was in my 50s. I'm told my family knew 'something wasn't right' with me from when I was a very young girl. I could do all those things when I went to nursery school at 3. Those who need much more help aren't mainstream
