A delegation from UAE and Estonia led by the UAE Ambassador to Zimbabwe,H.E Jassim Mohamed Mubarak Abdullah Al Qasemi paid a courtesy call on Minister @JenfanMuswere and discussed possible areas of mutual cooperation.

Government will continue to provide a conducive environment for ICT sector players to flourish and ensure the provision of high quality ICT services that are modern, accessible and affordable to Consumers.

ICTs are a catalyst for national socio-economic transformation. The attainment of Vision 2030 as expounded by President @edmnangagwa will require harnessing the potential of ICTs for sustainable development. Public and Private sector players have a key role to play in this regard

Would the Minister of ICT for Zimbabwe @JenfanMuswere engage @cz_binance and @binance to assist in policy making to develop a blockchain strategy for the country involving @ReserveBankZIM on cryptocurrencies and @ZimTreasury to make blockchain adoption a key policy area.

I have been trying to get hold of my sister in rural Gwanda. Someone had to climb a tree to get the network there. @Potraz_zw, please do something about network coverage in areas rural Gwanda. The people there are really struggling. @JenfanMuswere @Min_ICTCS_ZW

@KMutisi @IshmaelChiwayu @dennis_magaya They are not just "Internet cafes", I have responded to this on the convo, however they are also used as courier services centres and future e_gvt centres for next upcoming programs to say the least

@IshmaelChiwayu @dennis_magaya @JenfanMuswere Are the centres being utilised effectively & effeciently? I really don't think providing "internet cafes" is necessary these days... People have smartphones... Focus should be on ensuring access to reliable high speed internet... Some areas still have 2G in Zimbabwe.

Today we empowered the Manoti community, some 100km away from Gokwe, they can now find a place to use Internet facility and get training while we also unveiled a shared basestation for the area.

@julsmag If you live in the rural areas, some 100km away from your major growth point which takes 3hrs drives due to bad roads and you suddenly have Internet access a stone throw away plus 3G coverage that move is great in the tech sphere.

@dennis_magaya @JenfanMuswere At some point i assumed that till i realised that it's not whats on the ground. At some centres, the first level support of just fixing a computer takes forever. That's y i asked the minister if he is addressing the issue of tech support.

@JenfanMuswere Zimbabwe n Zimbabweans. ..poor leadership no vision no missions their agenda is to loot n loot after that they will go on commission a bridge internet cafe what a shame!

@JenfanMuswere Minister internet is a useful tool but if not supported by basic services like courier service it’s useless. I have a parcel that took 2days from USA but has been at the airport for 2 weeks.

@kmugova @KMutisi @Potraz_zw We are laying new basestations nationwide, you will get the full stats soon, there is work to be done, but possible.

@KMutisi The best approach is to ensure areas in rural areas have network access. @JenfanMuswere @Potraz_zw should focus on having base stations in all areas in countries. Ndanzwa nekutsvaga network pachuru. 😊

Mr Minister, you are a young person. You are still continuing where Supa Mandiwanzira left. ICTs is not just about distributing hardware, focus on the software/systems part. People can access internet from their phones, no need for these computers. Don't be archaic please.

@dennis_magaya @IshmaelChiwayu They are constructed under the Zimpost premises and the onus is on them, after USF, Mnos and Potraz make the final coal contribution..
