The biggest fail of Kouris defense, in my opinion, is that they tried every angle instead of focusing on the two major flaws in the states case. 1. Carmen. Regardless of how sympathetic she was, she did lie and kept failing to adhere to her bond conditions, even when babysat by the investigators in the case. Could have been done much better. 2. Investigation was crap no matter how you see it. The lead investigator had just about no clue what was going on, and he sat and listened every day of the trial. Without the PI, they wouldn't have had a fraction of the evidence they presented at trial. But. The biggest flaw was Kouri herself. She simply could not shut up. Almost every word spoken and written before and after put the bullseye on her.

If she has MS, that’s horrible. It doesn’t change the delivery of the closing statement and if you cant deliver, you let someone else do it. I played D1 baseball in college. Tore my rotator cuff sophomore year and never pitched again. Sucks but if I can’t throw and compete, I can’t do it. That’s life.

Wow. I haven’t even had a chance to watch closing statements yet and we have a guilty verdict. Not surprised but definitely didn’t expect this fast. They hated her. I totally get it but I stand behind that I couldn’t have voted guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. But juries do jury things and like I said before, she was cooked. #kouririchins #kouririchinstrial

I just finished the prosecution’s first go and am half through the defense. He definitely laid it out well. The timeline of the texts had me wanting to convict her ten times. If nothing else, because she’s such a manipulative and horrible wife. Also, so far the defense is once again horrible. She was shaking like a leaf, voice cracking, terrible delivery. I guess it’s good because I believe Kouri did it. But it shows why it’s important to pay for good attorneys. This case could’ve been won if she had an Alan Jackson or Yanetti.

@TheDUIGuyPlus How much of the Prosecution’s case did you watch? The evidence was primarily circumstantial and their witnesses were compromised at best. Lead investigators used language like “we need a murder conviction of KR” and “get out of jail free card” She was guilty but they got lucky.

Kouri Richins found guilty on all counts. Life imprisonment awaits her. Just as predicted. She had no chance.
