பா. ரஞ்சித் @beemji அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு கேள்வி... சமீபத்தில் இயக்குநர் பா. ரஞ்சித் அவர்கள் பேசிய ஒரு வீடியோவை பார்த்தேன். அதில், "எட்டு தலித் அமைச்சர்களை கொடுத்தோம். இரண்டு மாதங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டது. அவர்கள் என்ன செய்தார்கள்?" என்று ஆக்ரோஷமாக கேள்வி எழுப்புகிறார். முதலில், "தலித்" என்று மக்களை தனித்தனியாக பிரித்து அடையாளப்படுத்துவதை நிறுத்துங்கள். தமிழ்நாட்டில் அனைவரும் சமம். பிறப்பால் யாரும் உயர்ந்தவர்களோ, தாழ்ந்தவர்களோ அல்ல. அனைவருக்கும் சம உரிமையும், சம மரியாதையும் உண்டு. ஏன், தலித் சமூக மக்களுக்கான பிரச்சினைகளை தலித் அமைச்சர்கள் மட்டும்தான் தீர்க்க வேண்டுமா? மற்ற அமைச்சர்களுக்கு அதில் பொறுப்பே இல்லையா? இப்படிப் பிரித்துப் பேசுவதன் மூலம் அவர்களையே ஏன் குறைத்து மதிப்பிடுகிறீர்கள்? இரண்டு மாதங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டது என்று கேட்கிறீர்கள். அந்த இரண்டு மாதங்களில், தலித் சமூகத்தின் எந்த பிரச்சினையை நீங்கள் நேரடியாக முதலமைச்சரிடமோ அல்லது சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அமைச்சர்களிடமோ கொண்டு சென்றீர்கள்? நீங்கள் ஒரு பிரச்சினையை எடுத்துச் சென்று, அதற்கு தீர்வு கிடைக்காமல் இருந்திருந்தால், அதைப் பற்றி உரக்கப் பேசுங்கள். "இந்தக் கோரிக்கையை வைத்தேன்; இதுவரை நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவில்லை; இரண்டு மாதங்களாக போராடுகிறேன்" என்று ஆதாரத்துடன் பேசுங்கள். அதற்கு யாருக்கும் மறுப்பு இருக்காது. ஆனால், எந்தக் கோரிக்கையையும் முன்வைக்காமல், மேடையில் கைதட்டல் வாங்குவதற்காக வெறும் குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை மட்டும் கூறுவது மக்களுக்கு எந்தப் பயனும் தராது. அமைச்சர் ராஜ்மோகன் குறித்து பேசுகிறீர்கள். அவர் குரல் கொடுத்தாரா என்று கேட்பதற்கு முன், கடந்த இரண்டு மாதங்களில் தலித் சமூக மக்களின் எந்த பிரச்சினைக்காக நீங்கள் குரல் கொடுத்தீர்கள் என்பதை முதலில் சொல்லுங்கள். நீங்களே கூறுகிறீர்கள், "எழும்பூர் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்ட பிறகுதான் ராஜ்மோகன் தலித் என்று எனக்குத் தெரிந்தது" என்று. அதுவே இந்த ஆட்சியின் மாற்றம். இங்கு ஒருவரின் சமூக அடையாளம் அல்ல, அவரின் பணியே முக்கியம். எங்களுக்கு அனைவரும் சமம். நாங்கள் யாரையும் சமூக அடையாளத்தின் அடிப்படையில் பிரித்து பார்க்க மாட்டோம். அவர்கள் எங்கள் தோளில் கை போடுவார்கள்; நாங்கள் அவர்களின் தோளில் கை போடுவோம். ஒரே தட்டில் அமர்ந்து உணவருந்துவோம். ஒருவரை ஒருவர் சமமாக மதிப்போம். தனி அடையாளம் கொடுத்து பிரிப்பதல்ல, ஒன்றிணைத்து வாழ்வதுதான் எங்கள் கொள்கை. 234 தொகுதிகளிலும் நின்றது விஜய் மட்டும் அல்ல. 234 தொகுதிகளிலும் நின்றது தலித் சமூக மக்களும் தான்; பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட சமூக மக்களும் தான்; மிகவும் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட சமூக மக்களும் தான்; அனைத்து சமூக மக்களும் தான். இது ஒரு சமூகத்திற்கான ஆட்சி அல்ல... அனைவருக்குமான ஆட்சி. எனவே, பிரிவினையை பேசுவதற்கு பதிலாக மக்களின் உண்மையான பிரச்சினைகளை எடுத்துரையுங்கள். தீர்வு கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றால் அதை வலுவாக விமர்சியுங்கள். ஆனால், சமூகங்களை பிரித்து அரசியல் செய்வதை மக்கள் இனி ஏற்க மாட்டார்கள். Over the past many years, I have taken a personal stand in support of the NEET examination, arguing that it brought uniformity in student selection across the country and gave students from underprivileged backgrounds a real shot at pursuing their dream of medical education. In the last 5 years, the NEET UG question paper has leaked thrice. Imagine the amount of pressure that it puts on students, who had to go through the examination process yet another time when the system that was supposed to bring in uniformity was failing. Yet there was no accountability, and I believe strongly that it was that moment that brought in a shift in the minds of the students to take to the streets to cry their hearts out. Protest is a fundamental right in a Democracy. The pertinent question, however, is this: why did the BJP-led Central Government take so long to initiate a dialogue with the protestors? Why was meaningful engagement delayed until the protest had escalated to a flashpoint? What kept you waiting? The students and the people who are leading them also have a responsibility here. It is natural that when a protest stays on for weeks, people with vested interests will take the stage to air views that are either completely irrelevant to the initial demands of the protests or would try to completely hijack it to serve their agenda. If you remain silent and let these people with vested interests further their agenda, then you are deviating from your core objectives. Please do not let it happen! I urge the BJP-led Central Government to engage in meaningful dialogue, uphold transparency, and take swift, appropriate action to address the concerns at hand. The strength of any nation lies in the confidence its youth place in its institutions. If our students lose faith in the fairness and credibility of our education system, we are jeopardising the future of our nation.
