It’s ridiculous to suggest that the King of Britain would “shield” his brother — or any member of his family — if they broke the law.
The King is The Law!
That phrase doesn’t mean he stands above justice. It means the Crown is the source of lawful authority in the realm. If anything, it places a heavier burden on him to uphold justice without favoritism. A monarchy survives on legitimacy. The moment it protects crime within its own house, it erodes itself.
History makes this crystal clear.
👑 Henry VIII
Executed two of his own wives — Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard — and had close relatives imprisoned and put to death when accused of treason. Ruthless? Yes. But it showed that even proximity to the throne was no shield.
👑 Mary, Queen of Scots
After being implicated in scandal and rebellion, she was imprisoned — not by enemies alone, but through lawful authority — and ultimately executed under her cousin’s reign.
👑 Charles I of England
A reigning king tried and executed by his own subjects under parliamentary authority. If a king himself could face the axe, what makes anyone think a prince would be untouchable?
👑 Ivan the Terrible
Killed his own son in a rage over perceived betrayal and disobedience. Monarchs have historically placed power and law above blood.
👑 Queen Elizabeth I
Signed the death warrant of her cousin Mary after plots threatened the stability of the realm.
The idea that a British King in the 21st century would risk the survival of the Crown to “protect” a relative is historically naïve.
I do hope that all those who love and support his Majesty, like we did his mother before him, would have nothing else to invoke except GOD SAVE THE KING!
