Welcome to the world of public relations. *You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. This is where most people stay. Most don't understand how the media industry works, even fewer seek real publicity, and many of those that do don't leverage it properly, or worse yet, they retreat when they face any criticism. Those people stay where they are in life. *You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. A select few people understand the media or they hire someone who does, and as a result, they do get featured in the media, start to build real social proof, and become a recognized authority in their industry. Most importantly, they stay the course. Those people go on to change the world and often, make a ton of money in the process. Which person are you? And props to Tony Whatley for the picture that sparked this idea. 👊

Remember when I covered the Blake Lively PR crisis, and everyone told me she was going to win in court and that Justin Baldoni was the real abuser? Well, I was proven right yet again. The suit was dropped and she got nothing in the settlement. Justin was vindicated.

@TheCre8tiveDiva I did, but I didn’t read the details yet. I’ve had my hands full managing a client’s PR crisis. Have you read about it in detail yet?

The United States has the largest prison population on earth. Not per capita. Total. More people in cages than China. More than Russia. More than every "authoritarian" state it condemns in its annual human rights reports. 1.8 million people. Disproportionately Black. Disproportionately poor. Disproportionately from the zip codes with the worst schools, the fewest jobs, the most abandoned infrastructure. This is presented as a "criminal justice system." It functions as a labor system. Prison labor, paid between 13 cents and $1.15 an hour in most states, produces goods for McDonald's, Walmart, Victoria's Secret, Whole Foods, and the United States military. The 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, contains an exception clause: "Except as punishment for crime." That exception has never been closed. It has been expanded. The plantation did not disappear. It received a different name and a legal foundation.

@RyanHoliday There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. They’re here illegally and must be kept somewhere with their parents while awaiting deportation. Unless you’re offering to drive them home to their country yourself.

It doesn’t matter who you voted for or what your political beliefs are; putting kids in detention centers is wrong. When I look at my two boys, I don’t think about them getting taken. No parent should. And it shouldn’t be a privilege that we have because of what we look like. Everyone deserves that right. This has to stop.

@SharylAttkisson Is killing the criminal syndicate an option? I haven’t got to do that kind of work in a long time. 🤣

Question: You must pay a criminal syndicate $1 million in cash in order for you and your family to survive. You have one week to come up with the cash. You have no savings or meaningful assets. How would you get the money?

So Siri finally got on my nerves: Siri: What was that? Me: UGH, just fuck off, Siri. Siri: I won't respond to that. Me: How about go fuck yourself? Siri: I won't respond to that. Me: Ok. Eat shit, Siri. Siri: I won't respond to that. Me: GO UNINSTALL YOURSELF. Siri: Are you sure? I have been arguing with an AI bot. I'm tired. lol

I'm a massive OG Star Trek fan - Kirk or DIE! My husband is a huge Star Wars guy. He will call it 'Star TRACK' just to annoy me. So for May the 4th, I texted him I'm celebrating by watching Star Trek I-VI. He laughed. And THAT'S why our marriage has lasted decades. ❤️

I think a vast majority of the responses to @SpeakSamuel show a lot. They show how much hatred people have for someone doing things the right way. They show a complete lack of understanding of our immigration law (especially AC21 and backlogs). And worst, they show a lack of human empathy for someone who is struggling predominately because of flaws of the Administrative State.

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out. He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations. Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs. If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose. linkedin.com/posts/gautam-d…

This proletarian woman was a victim of sexual assault and when she attempted to document evidence to defend herself, the man uno-reversed the accusation…. are y’all ready to admit the legal case that so many of you called “bourgeois celebrity drama” set the precedence for this?

DoorDash driver Olivia Henderson was indicted by a grand jury yesterday and is now facing felony charges of unlawful surveillance and dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image after recording a man passed out with his pants down inside his home without consent and posting the video on TikTok

This is the cost of this administration’s immigration policy: A legal, high-skilled worker. 20 years in America. Built a family here. His mother was dying in India , he couldn’t go.Because a system hardened by travel bans and visa uncertainty has made leaving a risk to his entire life. If the U.S. becomes a place where doing everything right still feels like a trap, the best people won’t fight to stay. And that’s how a competitive edge is lost.

This is not correct. Indians face the per country cap restriction, which has them waiting many years for a green card. Decades even.
Holden Caulfield was right@burby_geek

@SpeakSamuel He could have been a citizen or e permanent resident over a decade ago. H1-B is a temporary working visa that you can convert to permanent residency if you’re a real immigrant
