@EmmettIzgubnik @NFL_DovKleiman holy roller rule doesn’t apply because again, this is a backwards pass and not a fumble. touching a ball also doesn’t matter unless you’re out of bounds, possession is all that matters as long as it is clear and immediate, which it was in this case

Rules 8-7-1 and 8-7-3 differentiate between a backwards pass and a fumble. this was a backwards pass, and, by rule, can be advanced by anyone at anytime and are not subject to the same restrictions
