Just showed this movie to the family for the first time last week. Liz loved it, the kids didn’t have any context to understand fandom conventions, or old sci-fi shows, or washed up actors.

Galaxy Quest is massively under-watched, especially because Alan Rickman *perfectly* captures the vibe of an actor who did a sci-fi show for a paycheck and then realises they're going to spend the rest of their life at conventions being asked about what really happened in ep 42
