@BladeoftheS China, just for one instance, was constantly expanding and subjugating tribes within it's land empire throughout much of it's history. China was forged through military conquest. And even in the 18th century it was still expanding, nearly wiping out the Dzungar.

There were about 1,000,000 Aboriginal Australians living in Australia when the Europeans came to murder them all and steal their land. The Europeans were the ones who went around the world murdering people and stealing their land. Everyone else is more civilised.

Always hilarious to me that China and India didn't even know this massive continent in their backyard. And then some English dude from the other side of the world just came along and yoinked it.

@BASILOTTIE @harbingerofwoke Almost all the numbers regarding casualties under communism are somewhere between highly exaggerated and made up.

@harbingerofwoke how does communism work if you can please explain. i hear a lot of mass death was involved with the entire thing and honestly it was pretty good for the environment in that regard. from an ecological (NOT humanitarian). we need a lot less people on this planet. like right now

If you side with Trump against Europe, you are a traitor. No amount of flaws in our countries and the EU can justify selling yourself to foreign powers. Being a vassal is not an option.

The foreseeable future of America is multiracial. By region even. The Southwest will be Anglo-Mexican, the West Coast Latin-Wasian, etc Another reason it’s imperative we forget about race. Race discussions in the gen pop provide much more opportunity for division than unity

@Euthenos_ This is all cope. The premise of this stuff is that we're seeing some sort of novel hybridization - but that's already happened. There's an entire continent South of us where this already happened, including Asian admixture in some areas. It sucks. So does our future.

Where many see despair we ought to see beauty, vibrancy and potential. The demographic mixing of America represents several new ethnogeneses: unique cultures, styles and cities. Let’s embrace this land of opportunity!🙌🏼

Zheng He’s fleet really REALLY grinds the gears of conniving Westoids, to the point of denialism even. I think it’s a psychological reaction to a realization that the Chinese aren’t squandering an overwhelming advantage in shipbuilding (or building anything really) ever again.

Coca-Cola exemplifies the evils of colonalism. "Coca" derives from the coca leaf, native to South America. "Cola" comes from the kola nut, native to Africa. The hyphenated name fuses two extracts from colonized continents into a single, American commodity.

@momoworldview Entirely speculative. You mind as well say the greeks discovered Greenland based on descriptions of ultimata Thule. Not really the same thing as a proper map.

1/2 When Europeans "discovered" the Australian continent in 1606, the book"岛夷志略(Daoyi Zhilüe)", written by the Chinese civilian Yuan Dynasty navigator 汪大渊(Wang Dayuan) that described the landscapes & features of Australia, had already been published for 257 years(AD 1349).

The Song Dynasty is literally the peak of ancient China. More economically prosperous and technologically advanced than the Han and Tang Dynasty. The Chinese population surpassed 100 million for the 1st time under Song. Peak Song doubled population of peak Tang. Iron production in the Song Dynasty was not surpassed by Europe until the Industrial Revolution.

@Dr_TheHistories Wild to me that these super isolated pockets of humanity that developed completely independently are still all the human species, perfectly capable of interbreeding. You would think they would be completely different lines like Denosovan or Neanderthal or Bigfoots.

A Highland New Guinean reacts in pure shock after seeing a white person for the very first time. Until the 1930s, many Highland communities lived so deep in the mountains that they genuinely believed they were the only humans on Earth. When Australian explorers finally reached the region, both sides were stunned. The Highlanders saw pale‑skinned strangers with strange clothes and tools they’d never imagined. And the explorers discovered more than a million people living in valleys they assumed were empty. The Highlands of Papua New Guinea remained one of the most isolated human regions on Earth well into 20th Century. Because the terrain is mountainous, densely forested, and extremely difficult to cross, outside contact simply never reached these inland communities. While coastal groups had interacted with Europeans since the 1500s, the Highlanders lived in complete cultural and geographic separation. They developed their own agriculture, social systems, and belief structures, with no knowledge that other civilizations existed beyond their valleys. When Australian explorers unexpectedly entered the Highlands in the early 1930s, they encountered more than a million people who had lived uninterrupted for thousands of years. For the Highlanders, the arrival of pale‑skinned strangers was a world‑shattering moment. Many believed their own tribe represented the entirety of humanity, and outsiders were often interpreted as spirits or supernatural beings. The photograph captures that raw, unfiltered shock, a man reacting to a reality he never imagined possible. For the explorers, it was equally astonishing to find thriving societies in a region they assumed was empty. This encounter remains one of the most dramatic examples of first contact in modern history, showing how two human worlds can evolve side by side yet remain completely unaware of each other until a single moment changes everything. #drthehistories
