@ClayTravis @FOXNashville @Braves @MLB I disagree on this one Clay. Cards and Cubs on 4th of July is the better game. Cardinals have a larger fan base than the Braves. Both teams are fighting for position in the playoffs. Historic rivalry. The Mets are terrible.

@ExitVelo314 I’ll put it in a nice way. The organization had a depth issue at center. They traded for two decent centers/wings as they have for years. They acquired two futures in the draft. One considered a steal. What more do fans want? More 90s draft picks that never made it?

@gatewaygrinders 8. The Blues have depth with players that can play wing and center with both trades. Unless they acquired Austin Mathews, some people weren’t gonna be happy.

@StevenBibas The Blues have always had centers who can play wing and center. Both new acquisitions can do just that. McTavish is 6”1 and 220 lbs. they probably see him as a winger.

@jprutherford I like the trade. You get 2 NHL centers that can also play wing. You have 2 centers drafted in the first round that need time to develop at the position is the franchises biggest need. Wasn’t Thomas drafted at 15? I don’t see the problem

Hate to say it, but Armstrong kinda caved. 15 and 29 is a bit much.
Maybe it works. Not the end of the world. Contract isn’t awful, could be a steal in the best case scenario. There’s definitely upside on McTavish. But I don’t love it by any means. A bit desperate. #STLBlues
