@stlanalytics @johnposton213 Neither had the skating ability of either of these kids as well. They two project more like a Hutson esque type.

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 I say we just trade Parayko Kyrou neighbors and all 3 1st rounds for McDavid or Drai and call it a day 😂call me crazy seems like a lot but I’m doing that in a heartbeat.
English

@StevenBibas @davewebb720141 I'd be happy with either. Maholtra I'd swing for, love how he plays and he has a dangerous shot.
English

#stlblues I have Suvanto 10th on my list
📷Rocco Zappia@ScoutRoccoRewatching the Canada/Finland game. Oliver Suvanto is a better prospect than anyone on Canada not named Verhoeff. He's not Barkov level, but he might be a Lundell/Mikko Koivu clone. Pretty sick player. Move him up your draft boards, because I guarantee teams have #u18mensworlds If he was born 2 weeks later he's available in 2027!!!! I think he's just scratching the surface. And I agree, I can pretty much guarantee he'll be in our final top 10. He has been since the Hlinka.
English

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 Same, I also with Malhotra playing ain’t Jiricek already I assume they have scouted him a ton. Would love to see an aggressive play for him if he’s still on the board at 5. I have a feeling he may go 3or4. I’d also move up to take Bjorck.
English

@StevenBibas @davewebb720141 Theres several teams that could need players or prospects from St Louis. I like O'Brien but would sure love to be able to draft Maholtra.
English

@CodePrometheus After 1-5 the draft is open for numerous possibilities. Confident blues can get 2 really solid players.
English

I still think some team is going to draft Cullen way earlier then projected, should open the draft up for the #stlblues a little bit more

Tournament point leaders after the quarterfinals: 🇸🇰 Timothy Kazda (2027) 10PTS 🇺🇸 Wyatt Cullen (2026) 9PTS 🇸🇪 Elton Hermansson (2026) 9PTS 🇨🇦 Dima Zhilkin (2027) 7PTS 🇨🇿 Dominik Ripa (2026) 7PTS
English

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 I’d love to see what Seattle wants for Beniers. They have O’Brien and Catton who they are extremely high on. Beniers would be a really solid long term 2C behind Thomas.
English

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas The Sharks are a team that has 3 Centres that were projected to be 1st line players. Cellibrini is a two way superstar. Would they have interest in a cost controlled Kyrou. Blues would need to add to the package but maybe they could get Smith? Lots of possibilities.
English

@Clay_1313 Him and Lane Hutson make me want to draft Villenuave so bad. lol
English

@BluesProspects1 I’d trade up to get any of Reid Stenberg Malhotra Carels
English

@StevenBibas I like it if we’re trading up to get Reid or Stenberg. Anyone else, I’d probaly pass. It might only take 11 and 15, but I’m sure they would want a slight overpay to move up
English

An ideal 2026 draft for the blues in my opinion
11: Bjorck
15: Villeneuve
29/30: Aaram - Olsen
You can see that I want skill and high ceiling with these picks. These also fit positional needs/certain archetypes we don’t have. #stlblues
English

If the Blues could copy 1 team in the league for play style can it be Tampa? They are just mean and incredibly talented. It’s contagious #stlblues
English

@davewebb720141 @Jasonwh83026510 Yeah, I’ve seen a bunch lately of him as high as 6 as well. Teams are valuing these highly gifted smaller offensive Dmen.
English

@Jasonwh83026510 @StevenBibas True but he is 5'11 157lbs. 5'11 180lb and elite NHL skating ability in two years. Watched him enough to know he has no quit and is very competitive. Elite prospects have him all over the board from 6th overall to 29th. I love bigger players but hardly a big reach at 15.
English

@TheProspectDon What are your thoughts on the Blues potentially packing 11,15, and a player or 31 to move into 3-6 range? They have the ammo to do it.
English

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 Would rather package all our 1st round picks to get into top 3-6.
English

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Villeneuve is really skinny on the ice and is easily outmatched in his own end in junior. Definitely has NHL skating ability but I can't see the Blues using a 1st on him
English

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 I think he’s going to go a lot higher than most people think. Smaller, offensive Dmen are trending in the league. Has a very high ceiling, but there will need to be massive development in Dzone no question
English

@davewebb720141 My thought too, if Malhotra is on the board still as that 5th pick is coming around man it’s tough not to pick the phone up and make a serious pitch.
English

"I wonder how much Villenueve playing with Carbo and Malhotra playing with Jiricek plays into the blues scouting process." Good question. Hard to imagine any team knows them better. They might be all in on trading up for Malhotra or that 15th pick for Villenueve. Looking to size height and weight of Villenueve at combine.
English

@davewebb720141 I wonder how much Villenueve playing with Carbo and Malhotra playing with Jiricek plays into the blues scouting process. Familiarity is huge but also they would have eyes on them more than any others most likely. I just wanna see them get aggressive and add a top talent.
English

@StevenBibas not to me. I slightly like Reid more because he runs a #1 pp and is a RD. Carels IS better. Malhotra has been on fire for 2 months. Early in the season looked like he was content just being the #2 C behind O'Brien then he just exploded.
English

@davewebb720141 Oof, is it unpopular if I say of those 3 I’m taking Carels or Malhotra over Ried? I just think Carels is the best overall Dmen in the draft and I think Malhotra has elite 2C potential or even 1C ceiling.
English

@davewebb720141 Yeah that really excites me. We need a PP QB and a guy who creates havoc on the back end with his ability to walk the blue line and get shots or passes thru.
English

@StevenBibas I watched a lot of Villenauve this season watching Blainville and Carbonneau play. Hedoes remind me of another Lane Hutson.
English

@davewebb720141 Id prolly package all our 1st rounders to get into 3-5 range. I’d rather that 1 elite player than multiple pieces at this time. But I’d be happy with 2of4 as well
