Victoria Police are investigating residents of an apartment in Melbourne following the death of an alleged burglar. According to a police statement, the residents restrained a 20-year-old female burglar who was brandishing a knife and demanding items after gaining entry to the apartment in the CBD. When police arrived at the scene, the alleged knife-wielding burglar was found unconscious and was transported to a hospital, where she later died. The male and female residents of the apartment have been questioned by police and released pending further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
