Today was one of most significant days in Jersey City’s history + I couldn’t be more proud as a ton of work to get here. We broke ground on Bayfront, the largest mixed income housing project in the state of NJ + maybe the Northeast United States of America. It’s been a long road to get here with too many ppl to single out along the way. This project will be 8400 units on the Hackensack River of which 35% affordable housing. The site was a former superfund toxic site + we won a lawsuit to force Honeywell into a $400m cleanup. This first phase will be 80% workforce housing.
