I’m not a COVID doc I just recently went it a presentation on available long COVID resources and was impressed with how much was out there. Still a frustrating condition without a quick fix, though.

@CBCEyeopener That guest wasn’t familiar with AB. There are actually a fair amount of long COVID resources for Calgarians. Individuals can call this phone line for advice (it’s like 811 for COVID) and there are clinics at PLC and RGH family MD can refer to …ether4health.albertahealthservices.ca/longcovid

@blondemedSJW Lol everyone on here being like “well if you don’t introduce yourself as doctor it isn’t clear…” as if every lady doctor doesn’t start every single interaction with something like “Hi I’m Dr. Page, your surgeon”

And just FYI, I introduce myself as doctor in every patient encounter. People just choose not to hear me.

My favorite night is when the whole team is women and a patient is like “I haven’t seen a doctor yet” and I’m like you’ve seen two doctors….

@KevinCChiang Sorry to hear and this is unsolicited advice, but as a Canadian Ortho I ended up a PGY-89 before I got a job. I realized the first 3 days of a new rotation ALWAYS sucked. Then, often, it got better. Those times when you are abandoned lead you being a bad-ass when you get through

I can't catch a break. Last week was rough. Today was the worst. Won't go into details, but I felt abandoned and left to sink or swim by myself. Exhausted. No chance to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom all day. Feeling burnt out on day 3 of a new rotation. Pls send pet pics 😩

One year ago today I went to the hospital with a Heart Rate of 200bpm that wouldn’t drop. I left with a diagnosis of atypical pneumonia and was in bed for several weeks, sleeping almost 24/7. #LongCovid #chronicillness
