@DeyarminYaho @thebravobabe_ She did, she had 16 melanoma’s. They were removed at early stages but they just keep coming back, the oncologist told her she’s just predisposed to melanoma. She seemed to be having any new spot biopsied immediately and it was still cancer. She couldn’t have done more sadly.

@The_Hip_Review @people Yes it is! If they’ve surgically removed the cancer and believe it to be gone they will still do chemo in some cases, this is an example of preventative chemo. It’s to prevent the cancer coming back. Some patients do 6 months of chemo after cancer surgery to prevent relapse.

@JessLouiseHope @people Chemotherapy isn’t used as a preventive measure for someone already diagnosed with cancer. Preventive treatments are for high-risk cases without cancer, not active diagnoses. Any doctor would tell you it doesn’t make sense to call cancer treatment “preventive.”

@The_Hip_Review @people A full course of chemotherapy is often used for pre-cancerous cells. Normal treatment is absolutely not one day. The only person spreading misinformation is you. Ask any oncologist, cancer research scientist or oncology nurse who will give you the same answer.

@GailR_10 @WorldofNC There’s lots of people with cancer going through treatment who look perfectly healthy you’d be very surprised. I worked with a woman who was having treatment and you’d never have guessed she was having chemo she looked perfectly fine.

@Khunhan16 @WorldofNC There’s loads of types of chemo now that don’t cause you to lose your hair. It’s actually not uncommon to keep your hair during chemo. Some don’t affect your hair at all and there’s also cold capping so even the ones that cause hair loss it can be limited.

@TreyPfromCali I have a condition called pcos so I only have 1 period a year some years so I didn’t find out I was pregnant until about 6 months gone 🤣 but some women are so tiny and have periods the whole way through there is no reason to suspect.

Her not getting a period for 9 months wasn't an alarm?
