Guys, if you want to wear polyester, do it. Please stop saying you “cannot wear cotton” when it’s hot. Pure Big Polyester propaganda. That’s absurd. I’ll take myself and one non-performance-enhancing-fabric enthusiast of my choosing against you and any polyester loyalist in a four-ball, any conditions. We will wax Big Poly into oblivion. I’ll wear pants. (To qualify you must be a member at a t-100 and host.)

Former @AgCouncilofAr President Nathan Reed officially assumed the role as Chairman of the National Cotton Council this morning. We are very proud of this moment, & we look forward to his efforts to lead this important organization in the coming year.

Thanks for quick response. I am encouraged your company is looking at incorporating sustainable fibers. I hope in the future cotton can find a spot in your blends. I am a southern cotton farmer and an avid golfer. I would love a chance to wear a cotton garment from your company soon.

Appreciate you checking out the website, Jesse. As a southern brand, our main focus is heat performance, so we’ve sourced some amazing synthetic blends from groups like brrr° and CoolCore. On the natural side of things, we have 7 comfort polos on the way, which use a Lenzig micro modal blend (wood pulp). They’ll still perform in the heat well, but we know many prefer the natural to the synthetic. Hopefully our stance doesn’t seem as hard after the clarification

The National Cotton Council calls on the Environmental Protection Agency to approve a Dicamba label. This is an important crop protection product utilized by growers to help produce high-quality cotton.

A lot of people seem confident this will resolve itself if we just give it a little more time. The problem is timing matters in agriculture. We’re in the middle of operating loan renewals. Credit decisions are being made now, based on recent losses, current input costs, and whether there’s anything bankable on the horizon. That’s not politics—it’s mechanics. This situation didn’t appear out of nowhere. It’s the cumulative result of policy decisions made in Washington—decisions that assumed time, margins, and credit would stretch farther than they actually do. Congress had a chance in the latest CR to provide clarity and chose to wait. Waiting feels harmless. It rarely is. If nothing changes in the next few weeks, it may be that the outcome isn’t orderly. It will be forced—liquidations driven by calendars and covenants, not by effort or competence. A friend put it plainly: “Too many people have their heads in the sand, hoping this will all work out in time.” Once these decisions are made, they don’t reverse cleanly. And what comes after isn’t resilience—it’s consolidation, fragility, and fewer independent producers. That’s how unintended consequences form: not from one dramatic mistake, but from a series of avoidable choices made far from the balance sheets that have to absorb them.

We are extremely disappointed Congress did not include much needed additional farmer bridge support in the spending bill pending in Congress. As we enter a new month in 2026 and move closer towards a new crop year, prospects remain very bleak for the crop sector, especially cotton and rice. arkansasonline.com/news/2026/jan/…

Yesterday we joined several others from Arkansas calling for immediate actions to advance the @JohnBoozman & @SenJohnHoeven economic assistance plan. Many Arkansas farmers don’t have the luxury of waiting longer for additional bridge assistance.

We applaud @POTUS & @SecRollins for delivering much needed support for farmers with the resources they had available. We are extremely grateful for this support. However, it's important to note that the amounts provided in the FBA only cover a fraction of the losses experienced

🇺🇸 farmers are feeling a great squeeze that is in large part due to widespread land conversion of natural area to cropland area in Brazil, which is led by CCP 🇨🇳 investment. We are pleased that the NDAA, which passed Congress today, included language to require our intelligence

While we don’t have the official $/acre payments by commodity, it’s safe to say that $11B is well short in terms of what is needed for farmers this winter. We appreciate the efforts of ⁦@USDA⁩ & ⁦@POTUS⁩ to provide relief w/ their authorities, but more is badly needed

My bill provides farmers the option to receive a 50% advanced PLC or ARC payment by years end to provide producers and lenders more confidence in making deals on operating loans for next season. Taking this advanced payment is not required. It also suspends payment limitations for the 2025 crop year, meaning the $155,000 cap would not apply this year. I know this is not a silver bullet. But this bill, working alongside the effort to secure an emergency relief payment being championed by Chairman @JohnBoozman, Chairman @CongressmanGT, and President Trump would help ease the burden on our farmers.

The suspension of payment limitations plus a bridge program mentioned by the administration would help this situation immensely. The new reference prices were introduced mid growing season. This late passage didn't allow farmers time to adjust to new laws. This simple idea is very effective thank you @RepRickCrawford

Congress needs to quickly end this government shutdown & focus on strengthening America from our farms to our factories. The United States must also unite with its allies around the world to aggressively defend their shared economic interests against a common threat which intends to undermine them through illicit means. 🇺🇸
