@JessicaGraceLit The wait never gets easier. I just put on a movie I've seen a hundred times and pretend the other thing doesn't exist. Compartmentalizing isn't a coping strategy, it's a lifestyle.

The " don't write like AI" advice starting to feel circular. I love em dashes. I use them. But now they're a "sign of AI". So I switched a few in my WIP out with :/;/,/. Now, colons and semicolons are "signs of AI" too. What am I supposed to use then?! Emojis!?

Convince me read your book. That's it. Do your best. If you do, I'll read it next month and leave a review.

@JessicaGraceLit honestly the em dash thing drives me crazy. been using them forever and now every time I write one I hesitate. we're letting AI decide what counts as human writing and thats completely backwards.
