@CatchKristen There are multiple bank schemes that offer higher insurance, up to 1million of your deposits. That way you can „park deposits“ n a super safe way across 3-4, worst case 10 banks. Also, the chances that ALL major banks go insolvent is really going against zero.

For all the “advice” about diversifying deposits, please think it through. A $10M Series A would require FORTY different banks to get full FDIC coverage. And sure say MM or Treasury. But teams of 15 don’t have bandwidth to manage complex financial products. That is not the job.

@t_blom Back in the days, it took +6 weeks to open a bank account after registering a company at a physical notary meeting in Germany. Sometimes I wonder what we are doing here...

To make an investment in a German startup, I've had to use a notary to sign power of attorney, then send it to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to be apostilled. Then wait 3-4 weeks. Germany appears not to be a country that values investment in its startup ecosystem.
