@BleavIn76ers Knicks were also dealing with all of this. Not the same situation at all. And, that Pacers team went 10 deep. This Sixers team plays 6 - 7 guys.

The Knicks basically exchanged their entire future for OG Anunoby only to find out that it is basically Kawhi Leonard with better public relations. Elite when you are healthy, unavailable when it matters most. Nobody wants to say it because Knicks fans finally prove the relevance again.

@TheKnicksRecap This reminds me of the Lakers - Sixers finals when Ty Lue was labeled the A.I. “stopper” because he had a couple of good possessions against him, then Iverson dropped 48 on his head in game 1. Sixers fans should know better

The 76ers media believes Dominick Barlow can switch onto the Brunson/Robinson pick-and-roll with no problem 😂 Imagine putting your hopes in a 22-year-old with limited playoff experience to stop one of the greatest playoff scorers in the NBA.

@SleeperKnicks The OG injury shifted things in ‘24 because it compounded all the injuries. If he’s out for a week, they are still deep enough to get through it.

It looks like a hamstring issue for OG. 2 years ago the same situation occurred vs the Pacers. Series shifted entirely once OG was out. Hoping for the best for him.

@RealTalkWithMJ1 I don’t care about injuries. In ‘24 no one cared that the whole Knicks team got hurt. The Pacers don’t have an asterisk for winning that series. In game 7 OG played 10 seconds, AND Brunson broke his hand, among other big injuries. It’s seen as a great series win for the Pacers.

Joel Embiid is the biggest what if in NBA history. If the Knicks beat the Sixers in this series there’s 100% an asterisk attached to it.

@Jets8421 @BrandonTierney Not to mention after winning an NBA cup and a skid, they played top 5 offensive and defensive rated ball. Dominated the second half of the season. Still didn't see it. Jumping on the bandwagon now is easy, I don't understand not being positive all year about this core

I'll take the bait here...having one opinion based on evidence is one thing. Adjusting that based on NEW evidence is quite another. Mike Brown has made real adjustments. Brunson has stopped pounding the ball. KAT is on a mission--next level intensity/used better. OG has hit a new level. Bridges has finally figured out his role. No, I did not think the Knicks were winning anything the way they USED to play. The tweaks, shift in roles and coaching adjustments has led to a NEW outlook. Got it? Pretty basic stuff. Good talk. 🫡
DeanfromAsburyPark@DBfromAP

@BrandonTierney You mean the team you bashed all year and said over and over “you couldn’t see it”? You’re such a clown dude. Take a walk

@RBPhillyTake I just don’t understand how 1 day off before game 2 fixes the fatigue issue. With games every other day, catching up on rest is tough.

Sixers fall to the Knicks 137-98 in Game 1 behind a night where one team hit every shot possible & the other was winded from a few nights ago. Knicks lead the series 1-0. Thoughts? ⬇️

Jayson Tatum’s legacy: - 1 Championship (superteam beneficiary) - 0x FMVP - 0x MVP - Lost to 8th seed in ECF - Blew 3-1 lead to 7th seed - Missed almost a whole season and his team didn’t get any worse Most overrated player of all time?

Whatever you do, do NOT look up Jaylen Brown's career On/Off splits, especially in the playoffs. They are....well....they're literally the worst I've ever seen for a star player.

@BGeltzNBA What a fraud team. Won games by being regular season try-hards, playing every game like it’s Game 7 of the Finals. That doesn’t work in the playoffs when every team is playing hard and bringing energy and effort. They had a talent deficiency and no one called them out on it.

A big differentiator for the Celtics during the regular season was their elevated energy and effort night in and night out. That factor was neutralized in the playoffs because Sixers matched it over the 7 games. Still, relative to expectations, it was a successful year for the Celtics

@iamrahstradamus Celtics were losing to the Knicks last season whether Tatum got hurt or not. Let’s stop with the nonsense narrative that they win if he doesn’t get hurt.

Tatum got hurt in both of thos series tho. Didn't finish out the Knicks series and was a shell of himself in Game 7 against Miami. Also we've seen three different head coaches lose as heavy favorites with Tatum/Brown......maybe those two are good enough to get you there but not close things out.
Steeski@spurlgin

@iamrahstradamus This ain’t a one game thing tell me what series Joe has been impressive in. Celtics overwhelming favorites in every series and they always competitive outside of 2024. Losing to that Heat team and Knicks last year was disgraceful

@ezlazar Fraud team. Won a ton of games by being regular season try-hards, and the whole NBA media apparatus was saying they are the ONLY TEAM that has a chance in the EC to play with OKC and that they are favorites in the conference. Now playing the “gap year” card. Excuses. Excuses.

Gap year Celtics were too flawed for playoff basketball. Pressure is on to build a contending roster around the Jays for 2026-27. No more gap year excuse with Tatum having a full offseason to get healthy.

@KeithSmithNBA The point is they shouldn’t have been huge favorites . Flawed roster with zero front court depth, and outside of Prichard, zero players coming off the bench with scoring ability after they traded Simons. They never should have been favorites over the Pistons, Cavs, or Knicks.

Brad Stevens will be tempted to sell high on Jaylen Brown this summer. But the plan has always been to treat this year as a gap year. And that'll remain. The Jays, D-White, PP are all coming back. Hugo will take a leap next year. Get another big ... and contend in '26-27.

- 56 wins - 2nd seed - Jaylen MVP season - Tatum looked great off the achilles It’s fine to take a step back and realize it was a successful season. Not bad for a gap year.
