@JournoMaddie Average Eastern European chud is closer to English than him. If you accept mixed-race as native, then why to oppose replacement at all. Clap your hands and wait for your mocha future.

Bellingham is English. He’s not 100% English, he’s mixed race, but he’s still English and clearly patriotic. To make no distinction between someone like Bellingham and someone who has no English ancestry when defining who is English is ridiculous. I see the same crowd who insist a mixed person with African heritage will always be African also insisting someone like Bellingham can never be English. It’s a glaring double standard and completely illogical. Is he as ethnically English as someone who can trace their family history back 1,000 years and see that every single one of their ancestors was English? No, obviously not. But pretending he’s not English at all is just stupid.

Jude Bellingham’s grandfather is English. "I think the anthem is the last chance you get to really be mindful of the people who have got you there and what it means to be from England. I think about my grandad, who passed away just before my England debut. He was so patriotic. He was an Englishman through and through. He could give you every fact about every war, every battle, every king and every queen. I do think about my grandad when that moment's coming."

@thomasrp93 Bro you’re double-counting Coop; you can’t say he’s fixing the safety position and also that there’s been no dropoff at CB. And suggesting that losing Nakobe is “a slight downgrade” is just absolutely wild.

Eagles defense 2025 vs 2026: CB: Huge upgrade + Riq Woolen + Jonathan Jones depth DL: Upgrade + Greenard, better pass rusher than Phillips + Epenesa, Ebiketie depth upgrade + Carter healthy + Jalyx more experienced LB: Slight downgrade - Nakobe gone + Jihaad, Trotter Jr more experienced Safety: Push - Reed gone - Mukuba healthy, slightly more experienced, still a huge question + DeJean full time S in base, won't need to play CB + Huge benefit of having Riq #Eagles

We mostly know what creates human happiness, or at least we know what tends to. Log GDP per capita, social support and community, health-years life expectancy, economic security and opportunity, freedom in important personal choices, low perceived corruption, high social trust, physical safety, employment and housing security, and work-life balance. What's far less clear, in many cases, is *how to create these things.* And that's where I think critiques of liberalism have, basically without exception, fallen flat. Yes, it's all well and good to critique liberalism's failings. And there are failings. But no one, basically without exception, has ever figured out a superior system. There have been many attempts! But none of the alternatives have demonstrated superiority. At best, you get a different set of tradeoffs, and mostly you get just an objectively worse outcome. The best countries in the most objective measures of happiness we have *are still the liberal democracies.*
Cassie Pritchard@hecubian_devil

I get why so many liberals are fundamentally disdainful of democracy these days—it’s because liberalism is exhausted. It’s out of answers. Liberalism won, it delivered the world it promised, and people still aren’t content. They’re not satisfied. So the people must be wrong. We are unfathomably richer than our ancestors. Output per capita in America today is on the order of 900 times greater than before the invention of agriculture, about ~225 times higher than in 1 CE, and about the same (225 times) higher than Europe in 1000 CE. If measurable productivity were really the greatest object of human society, then we shouldn’t just be a little bit happier than people in the distant (or even recent!) past—we should be *ecstatic*. We should *already* be living in a utopian age of overwhelming contentment. We should be *currently* experiencing a kind of paradise. The Kingdom of Heaven, as liberalism conceives of it, has already been made real on Earth. We are living in their Eden, and 20% of people are depressed. We’ve stopped reproducing ourselves. We’re overwhelmingly dissatisfied with our governments, anxious about our economies, and pessimistic about the future. If you talk to rational liberals, you can usually get them to acknowledge the ways in which humans are wired not to appreciate absolute levels of wealth—the hedonic treadmill is a well-documented phenomenon. The evolutionary reasons why humans are wired to attend more closely to *relative* prosperity instead of absolute prosperity are obvious. They’ll usually admit this. And the conclusion, insanely, always comes back to something like “isn’t it unfortunate that people can’t appreciate how well-off they are? We’ve delivered well-being, people just don’t recognize it.” This is an obvious, ludicrous contradiction! Who determines the well-being of the people if not the people themselves?! I want to be clear; I’m not making an appeal to RETVRN. I don’t believe things were better in the poor old days. But that’s rather my point; delivering human contentment is not as simple as turning the dial up or down on the Output Machine. Meaning, security, and satisfaction are actually hard problems that demand specific and well-evidenced answers. Liberal elites’ disdain for everything that can’t be so simply measured and optimized is not evidence of their entitlement to rule over irrational masses, but instead proof of *their* irrational commitments to their ideological ends in denial of the reality of what drives human happiness. They purport to be rational, but this blinkered drive to Produce More is anything but.

As soon as the team became aware of the rape allegations against Graham Platner we advised he suspend his candidacy, and in the following days worked to wind down the campaign. Like so many of his supporters, I’m deeply disappointed.

@TSoS_ You're such a retard. How can you be so fucking retarded that you can't see that these are purposeful inserts. They aren't casted based on if they fit for the role. Instead, it's because of their race or sexual orientation. It's so obvious. If you don't see that you're retarded.

I think we have reached a point where we just have to ignore people like this completely. There is no conversation to be had, there is no common ground you could ever build a discussion from. Millions have succumbed to the narratives of this culture war and have fallen so deep into their delusion of having to fight a war of supposed "anti-wokeness" that they are quite frankly irredeemable. Everyone who isn't a heterosexual white man is their enemy and unless there comes a slow awakening of their own accord, there is nothing the rest of society can do. Let them live in their bubble. Always protect those they would do harm to, fight every harmful action they wish to perform in the real world, but isolate them culturally. Do not give them a platform online, do not interact with them. The Odyssey will make its billion at the box office, its actors will continue to have stable and interesting careers. Nothing they say in their echo chamber of bigotry has any relevance in the real world and we have to treat it precisely that way.

One of Zohran's best innovations is how consistently he challenges neoliberals on their own grounds Instead of debating the merits of capitalism vs socialism in the abstract, he doubles down on socialists' ability to deliver more tangible benefits to ordinary people And rather than dispute their emphasis on efficiency, he shows that democratic socialists are *more* committed to efficient governance, because we actually want excellent public services. Love COGE's excellent new preliminary report on what this looks like 👇
