Against all odds, I somehow won genesis through 11 sets in losers, through every heavy hitter I’ve given this game everything I physically can, and despite everything it’s been the greatest ride of my life Of course I’d love to have a team and just go to every event, but I know I need to work on myself and I don’t think I can do that while being a full time competitor I want to be the best version of myself for my family, my fans, and this community that’s given me so much. Whether you love me or hate me, I want to be someone that can engross you in the game and bring fruit to the community that’s given me so much I’m going to do my absolute best to come back financially and emotionally secure, and give this game the goat fox it deserves. I'm a bit sad to see my end-of-year rank decrease for the first time, but I'm already doing a lot better these days. A strong year is ahead of me, inshallah.

Happy for all the new up and coming players and we should celebrate them, But rankings are tainted the closer to the top you get The attached clip is the moment shit took a turn for the worse. @iBDWSSBM Its funny seeing you act like this back then, and then nowadays playing victim saying its not an advantage and its too late to do anything about it. You know damn well that all of the top players got on a call last year and we agreed that we had to get rid of zump but because of the timing it fell through. You said yourself years ago how broken it is, you know damn well its not just a simple remap so stop acting like its the same thing as claw. And stop hiding behind box technicality, you know that the top players all wanted to ban zump and not touch box. Box serves as melee's accesibility tool, Zump has ZERO reasoning to exist. Your credibility is already lackluster, this is 100% anti-top player behaviour. Shame on you, as top rep of the game, you should know better than to hide behind technicalities, making mockery of melee's historied players, stories and legacies for your own benefit. YOU are the problem here cody, so stop going on reddit saying that it's others that are creating division when its you whos doing it. Curious how youll reply now that a top rep is personally calling u out . Maybe you just dont have what it takes to prove youre the real deal without zump. 🤷‍♂️

Listen Ed, I like you as a person, have repeatedly stated that my only beef with you is over the z-jump stuff given your incredibly lackluster track record (enjoying Wevans vs. lloD publicly, talking about how that's how melee should be played when lloD literally z-jumps) The clip you're seeing is with respect to me being able to do this without hand pain for the first time, which made me absolutely elated because my hands are just ... large, no other way to phrase it. You can have your opinions on z-jump, and that's fine. You can call out my legacy, and that's also fine, I'm happy with my career and have no real desire to try to prove you otherwise because I'm content with what I've done. My issue here comes with you crossing a clear personal line about my role as a top player. I've actively tried to take a step back due to the amount of negative press I've garnered and I don't believe it to be good for the community, but what you're doing is perhaps the most egregious example of hypocrisy I've ever seen. The community is undoubtedly plagued by drama, divisiveness, and general negative sentiments towards a lot of people, whether or not you want to see it. Trying to start something over this publicly is wild, and we talked about controller mods a year ago, and nothing happened. I don't believe it ever will, because there's too many crossroads to go outright ban 1-to-1 remaps, but if I'm wrong, awesome! I really wouldn't mind either way. Calling my behavior anti top player is hilarious, the role of a top player should be to try to get people into the game, make it inviting, and accessible to people. What you're doing is directly contradicting that, and is unabashedly insulting to the work I've put in absent z-jump discourse. I'm sorry you feel so strongly about z-jump, but maybe if you're so concerned with your in game performance, you should learn to tech chase and not play like a fucking degenerate before you call out someone who has invested more time into his craft than you will likely in your entire life. Maybe invest that time into trying to find ways to welcome people into the community and play games in the way they see fit, not start crusades about a video I made about z jumping when I was excited to experience it without hand pain, regardless of whether it directly impacts the game or not.
